It cannot be in the cabbin on your vehicle unless you have a proper license. You may take a concealed carry class and be issued a special license depending if it is legal in your home state. As for an eighteen wheeler, you could store it in your storage section on your vehicle, but not near your person. Eighteen wheeler is a gray, because it means you are keeping the firearm on you with out heading to a range etc.

they tell u that u need a license and theyl give u crap if u get stopped but they cant do anything ... ive never had a carry permit and been stopped about 4 times with a weapon in the car ... they make a big fuss about it and tell you that its a felony ... but ive never been arrested for it .. they empty the bullets, put it in the trunk, check it to see if its stolen .. and let you go ... once i had one confiscated .. i went to the sheriffs dept the next day and picked it up ... they have no legal grounds to keep it ... so yes u can carry, the only way i can see it to be a problem is if u drive for someone else or a company and its against their policy u could get fired for it ...

as long as it would take you at least three steps to get to the gun then you are ok. less than three steps is illegal unless you have a concealed weapons license. An example would be in a case, under the seat in the back seat. This way you would have to get to the back of your seat, grab the case, and then take it out.

It would all depend on the states that you travel thou. Most state (not all) allow you to carry a gun inside the vehicle as long as its in a 3 step position ex. in a locked box inside the glove box. But it all depends on what state your going thou. Some don't allow you to carry one at all with out a CCW.

Many states vary, and many states allow it due to the person being "in transit", and might be in need of protection. I live by this rule, "I rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6". But check around and see if you can get a definite or better answer answer.

Absolutely! If you are caught with a firearm in DOT regulated vehicle, you will lose your CDL, as well as whatever weapons charges for your state.
