How is it that "sharing a Cubana cigar" with a friend and then getting a lil lip service for it in the oval office can get you impeached but being solely responsible for the murders of more than 3,000 American soldiers and, what some say is more than 34,000 plus innocent Iraqi's doesn't?

Just in case you want to know

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_doctrine

I can't believe that anyone with a brain in their head thinks it OK for the government to require radio stations to split 50/50 time between opposing viewpoints, whether they can sell the time or not.
Are democrats so upset with AM/talk radio being conservative that they just have to kill it? Isn't it enough that they control most TV networks, most newspapers etc?

This is a SERIOUS threat to freedom of expression. I suppose if you hate conservatives that much and you think it's OK to censor them then you'd agree with it.

What do you people think?

ive read it, with all the media hype about how he was the "new rising political superstar" of our country...i was very much into reading his book because i also believe we dont need partisanship..we need americanism...well, after a fine idealistic beginning i became disappointed...he pretty much blames all the problems of this country on bush ...he has not much of a sense of the history of why and who made policy before bush and the sceanarios they created for bush to take over...and he has not much of a solution to any of the problems....if any...hell, i have an idealistic view of what our country should be..freedom and liberty for all, a job with a livable wage for anyone who wants to work and get ahead, better education, morals, safety and security.....if thats all it takes to become a media darling and get people to vote for you...then i should be running for president because i want a safer, educated, prosperous america with the world at our side...after reading im disappointed...

always assumed on here to be flag-burning, unpatriotic, baby-killers? I am a liberal, but it is a way of thinking, not an evil conspiracy against our govt. I do not support abortion and would kick someone in the teeth if I saw them burning a flag. I just think that Dems agree with my point of view more than Republicans do. The next time you say "Why do Liberals........., maybe you should ask a liberal what they think instead of just assuming.

By not paying our taxes it would put this whole country on hold. However, to show our politician's that our billions of dollars are being wasted on foreign soil, it's necessary that we start to strike back. What s your opinion on that?

It seems that the Neo-Conservatives have hijacked the Republican party and are taking us down a path of limitless spending and international crises. Should fiscal conservatives and strict constitutionalist like myself bail on the Republican party and join another Conservative Party in America?

The parties that come to mind are: Reform, Libertarian, Independent Party of America, and Constitutionalist Party.

Some of these parties are more main-stream than the others.

A question to all of you Conservatives out there; Which 3rd Party would you join?

Freedom of speech? only as long as it doesnt offend someone

When are people going to voice out enough is enough already. You can only protect a country so much before it is no longer a democracy.

not that I support illegal immigration, but wouldn't it be easier to get a bunch of credit cards, spend as much as you can and move on, that is, if they were all criminals

My friend got mad at me for some stupid things and was practically trying to turn the world against me...so instead of arguing I made my point by altering her Myspace page...I just deleted things off of it (did NOT delete the account). I was able to do this because 2 weeks prior she gave me her password to log her in when she is over here so she doesnt have to deal with my security stuff on my PC. Then she saved her password to my Pc as well. Now she is claiming she is going to call the police or already has and they supposedly told her they can trace it and are going to arrest me. I believe she is outta her mind. I might get my account deleted but that;s no big deal. Can someone help me out so I can set her right...or maybe myself? LOL Thanks guys

I look at marriage more as a religous ceremony with legal force and at civil union as a legal union without benefit of religion. The whole argument surrounding this matter is specious and there is a pressing need to state it in a manner that every one can understand.

But the fairness doctrine is fine and dandy? How can you say flag burning (which isn't even speech) is protected and yet this Fairness Doctrine (which FORCES talk radio personalities to change their shows) isn't violating host's right to free speech?

I know some of you will say "why are you afraid of a debate?". Well I'm not in any shape or form, but if the left wants some time on the radio, maybe they should put out someone interesting enough to get the ratings. Until then, don't you think they should stop trying to get a chair on conservative shows?

Think of this. You need a license to hunt, a license to fish, a license to drive, a license to sell property, etc. Every day we hear new stories babies being dumped into the trash.

Discuss.

Hasn't he said in the past the world must be Islamic to please the Mahdi and that would come by bloodshed and world chaos? Who knows about his ideas on this? The March equinox is not that far away. Considering his stated mission of world conquest can Muslims or anybody who knows comment on this event?

I am definitely ready for a change of scenery. I am so tired of the same old dishonest, corrupt, dirty old, dirt slinging type of candidates running and being elected to run this country of opportunity and supossedly equality.

Well, if by chance we do finally elect a women or another type of race of person into office and they actually get the chance to make the United States a better place, I will definitely feel that equality is at hand.

Some say that, "It ain't gonna happen..." But I feel like it is inevitable and has to happen so that the first can finally stop serving the last. If you believe in your bibles, believe that IT IS TIME PEOPLE!
