I would guess Alexandria, VA - ie. Pentagon is located there
WASHINGTON DC - IS NOT CONFINED WITHIN A STATE!!!
Look at the link below - it gives a very good breakdown of how Washington DC is a DISTRICT - not classified as either a state or city! This is because ONE state is not permitted to have any more power than any of the others. If "DC" was a state it would be able to make legislation based on the needs of itself and could hinder the other states based on power!
