"Shouldnt diplomacy be given every chance?"

I couldn't agree more, it should always be the first option exercised. It can't hurt, period. It costs practically nothing but a little time. And it can lead to better answers.

"Is this a good stance for the US right now?"

Another good question, I can't answer it. If I were president I would give Iran a chance with diplomacy, but W has more information available to him (which may not be a good thing).

In normal circumstances yes, but BushOilCo is seeking disorder in the region, with the ultimate goal of bringing down the Iranian government and gaining Dominion over the regions oil from Saudi Arabia through Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan, so diplomacy would be counterproductive to their plans. It is difficult to understand why we don't talk, as every sensible government does until all avenues of reconciliation are exhausted. So it is very important that we all examine why BushOilCo does not follow this sensible historical pattern and advice. In history, only those who have territorial ambitions have been the ones who seek antagonism and imbalance. Is it not reasonable to assume that because BushOilCo does not follow the path of reason and balance, that they too are acting like one of history's Rogue Governments?

Even if it doesn't work, diplomacy should be given every chance. There is no reason to refuse to talk to another nation--even if it seems fruitless. If we close the channels of communications, only war remains as an option.

It is sad when people have strong emotional feel good answers about something, yet have done very little research to support their answer.

Some day all countries will have nukes any ways, so does it really matter, we are all screwed in the end. Hasta Luego NY NY.

The problem is that Bush trained and supported Shiites, and Iran is 100% Shiites, so is Pakistan and Syria. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordon are 90% Sunni that the Bush allied Iraq militia is using ethnic cleansing to kill everyday now. Bush's puppet the Iraq Prime Minister is the enemy man!!! Bush continues to lie and our soldiers and Iraqi civilians die. Bush is the "DECIDER" though. 650,000 plus deaths from the Iraq invasion of George W. Bush.

I dont think people really understand how much Iran and extreme Muslims really hate us. Save the talk and destroy. They would do the same if their camels could launch nukes.
