I find it hard to believe anything these 'defectors' have to say about Saddam or WMD's. I think they just make up things in order to gain favor with the United States. I believe this man was discredited a long time ago. There's so much lying going on regarding this Iraq war one does not know who to believe anymore.. And although many here in the U.S. still believe Saddam had WMD's and that they were "sent to Syria," I believe that as much as I believed Bush when he breathlessly advised us that

"[t]he British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

They're all full of it.

I have little doubt that Sada has knowledge of Iraq's wmds and where they are but I take what he says with a grain of salt. I find it believable that WMDs could have been moved to Syria or buried in the desert but Sada like so many others over there have their own agendas. The US should check out leads of this sort but not get too worked up over them or assume that they are correct.

BULLSHIT.there was never a general,or even an officer by that name in the ex iraqi armed forces.i challange the inventor of this sick story to clarify which course that fake general belonged to,what was his last appointment, which city is he from.for your kind information, the iraqies dont use such names.
no 2.iraqi govt was in very bad poletical terms with the syrian govt.there were no flying zones that prohabited iraq to fly any plane to syria.and last, everyone knows by now that the iraqi wmd was a big lie.the us administration itself accused iran of bombing halabja, not the iraqies.

I have heard this recently from some of my relatives who work in defense but they say that many people don't believe it. Plus, even if it is true there is no way to track them down now.
