I know cons lie, cheat and steal trying to make liberals look bad, but this one has been in every news report about the law.

The compnay's offices are in San Francisco. The actual work is done on the Marianas Islands.

"Many of you are well enough off that...the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good"?

Didn't al Qaeda openly take responsibility for 9/11 and other previous terrorist attempts on the west? I was wondering what exactly is their reasoning, religious and/or political. Did they ever openly give a statement as to why? I have never heard a clear answer to this.

I've seen so many comments directed to one American from another American saying, essentially, "If you don't like it, leave".

Americans who don't support the war in Iraq are told to leave. Americans who support the illegal Mexican immigrants are told to leave. Americans who oppose Bush are told to leave. Americans who oppose the present health-care system are told to leave. Americans who question past American wars are told to leave. And on...and on...

It seems like any American who opposes the ultra right-wing position... eventually gets told to leave.

Something like 70% of Americans oppose Bush's handling of the war. Satisfaction with Bush as President is also about 30%. Is there anyone who believes that over 200 million Americans should leave the U.S.?

What do the people who make these foolish comments hope to gain by making them? On many of the issues, they are in the minority...and they're telling the majority to leave the U.S..

Are these people thinking at all?

If you dislike the president is it ok to say "If I ever meet that man, I'll punch him in the face!" Is it ok to say that, because we have freedom of speech? or do you think you could get arrested for saying that? It's an empty threat and the person who said it did not mean it. What do you think? Freedom of speech?? Or arrested and jailed?

I would like to find someone who can help me get a grant to restore an old building and turn it into a youth group. The area is in a poverty zone and there is no where for the youth in the community to go. Not a bowling alley, a theater, zero, nothing. This town has plenty of children and just one grocery store, one gas station, a hardware store, and pharmacy. And that's it. There is an old abandoned building (what use to be a bar) which we could have. But it needs to be updated with electric, a roof, furnace etc. The building has great potential and could be restored into a youth group. But since we don't have the money to do this where do I go, who do I talk to, who can I contact, how do I write it up. I've never done this before so I don't know where to start so I could use all the help I can get. Please help!

Do you think it is likely that there will be conflict between the US and China in the future? Are they just waiting to overtake the US economically first? Will that happen, what about the US debt? Where would it start Taiwan or Korea? Who would win?

Kerry and Ken Salazar co sponsering a measure that would expand the crimes that can strip congressmen of their pensions.

Currently only treason and espionage convictions can strip a congressmen from espionage.
Per this proposal bribery, perjury and fraud would be added to that.

This passed the Senate already with a 87-0 vote (apparently even though its their job to make law some didnt bother to vote which is the norm)

This is a great proposal and should have always been this way. Only bad thing is its not retroactive so we cant take away the pensions from 20 people who were former convicted and are drawing pensions now.
Oh and too bad it doesnt include former presidents... ( .. I did not have sexual relations with that woman )

We have the opprotinity to buy a bussiness in Hawaii, but my dad had a criminal record. It isn't a really bad one just for getting into a fight. He got a pardon, but will it work if we are planning to move?

The record dosen't stop him from traveling, but i know thats a lot different than moving.

Thank you.

Last time around the democrats had a great chance to choose Howard Dean as thier candidate. He was fresh thinking, visionary, charismatic, and brilliant. But, sadly, they focused on early poll numbers and perceptions and went the route of party establishment. They could not have found a more boring candidate than John Kerry.

Will they do this again?

They have a few good choices this time around.

Will they blow it again? Or take a gamble on someone who can inspire the electorate and bring real change?
