If you are convicted of a felony, you will never be allowed to own a gun, and you will have to disclose your status as a convicted felon on any new jobs that may ask for background info. Take the misdemeanor.

A misdemeanor conviction is looked upon less harshly than a felony conviction. Furthermore, if you are on probation you may have to pay monthly fees in order to be on probation. Some people take the jail time only because they cannot pay the probation fees and would end up in jail anyway because of it. I say take the jail time and be the best inmate you can be. It will give you skills in learning how to get along with difficult people and situations and make you appreciate simple things in life.

At first glance, the felony may seem the better deal. You get to go home. However, if you take the misdemeanor, you'll be able to answer "No' on job apps where you are asked if you've ever been convicted for a felony. You'll also have this behind you, with nothing "hanging over your head." If you take the felony, you'll have 3 years during which if you screw up, you'll have a prison sentence awaitiing you. Not only that, but you lose your right to vote, and your right to own a gun - forever. Think about this deal long and hard, and discuss it with your atty.

As you should already know. A misdemeaner is always better than a felony. additionally a 3 yr probation means that if you do anything in that 3 yrs or don't complete the 300 hours community service, you can go to prison NOT jail, there is a difference. go to jail for 60 days and your are done, no one watching for you.

In my opinion,I would advice you to take 3 years S.I.S Probation and 300 hours community service& Prob offricer. But I do not take a jail term. You may not think through and 60 days in jail is a hell and your record will destroy your life for employment and You need to go to counseling for drug treatment and find a lawyer erase your record after 3 years and complete 300 hours of community service. Good luck and Happy New you 2007.

Take the misdemeanor and the jail time. Not only is the misdemeanor a lesser offense, after your time in jail you will be done with it. Probation will get old really fast, and a felony conviction will negatively effect your life forever.

I wouldn't want to be in jail for one day, so i would take anything, not to go to jail. THe beds are hard, food sucks, using the toilet is open to the public. That alone is gross. And if u share a cell with someone, think about it. Don't know who u can trust in there, you'll never come out the same as when u went in.

I'd go for the 60 days in jail. that has to be better than all that extra and a misdeameanor is better than a felony anyday

Felony..depending on the state you lose your rights as a a citizen. That means no vote, no passport etc. I would take the misdemeanor.

They work with any kind of hours school hours, community service court hours it dont matter give them a call again there open on the weekends make sure you have your school infomation ready or your court information ready with a case or docket number because they can't do anything to help you unless you have that give them a call today Good Luck!!!
