In September 2004, the U.S. government commission investigating the September 11 attacks officially concluded that the attacks were conceived and implemented by al-Qaeda operatives.[38] In October 2004, bin Laden appeared to claim responsibility for the attacks in a videotape released through Al Jazeera, saying he was inspired by Israeli attacks on high-rises in the 1982 invasion of Lebanon: "As I looked at those demolished towers in Lebanon, it entered my mind that we should punish the oppressor in kind and that we should destroy towers in America in order that they taste some of what we tasted and so that they be deterred from killing our women and children

That answer will take forever to answer. This is a good way to look at it. People in all these countries are zealous about their beliefs, well most at least. Specially those that are in Jihad, and terroist groups and organizations like al qaeda. Al Qaeda feels that the US is the most evil thing to cross this planet. The reasons go back to the Israeli nation's beginnings and their troubles in the middle east, and some are retaliating attacks for oil. This is something Osama said:
"As I looked at those demolished towers in Lebanon, it entered my mind that we should punish the oppressor in kind and that we should destroy towers in America in order that they taste some of what we tasted and so that they be deterred from killing our women and children."

There are two major reasons. Al Qaeda's long-term objective is the political union of Muslim peoples, the Umma, into a single state. In the short term, U.S. imperialism in the Middle East is preventing that goal, so the U.S. and other Western powers are the enemy for now. But the real enemies are the other Muslim countries which al Qaeda wants to replace with a single state.

ok that's like this. Al Qaeda human beings have faith that mainstream Islam isn't the real Islam. they suspect that almost all modern-day governments in Muslim international locations are rather not Muslim governments, at appropriate blind to Allah's will and at worst apostate. they suspect that government would desire to be synonymous with non secular rule; the guidelines of their faith would desire to be the guidelines of the land. The governments in maximum Muslim international locations do not enable Al Qaeda or comparable Islamist communities to function brazenly, simply by fact the Islamists prefer to overthrow them and put in their very own extremist government. The Islamist extremists have not been waiting to take over the traditional Muslim governments, and that they blame this a minimum of partly on the West, which prefers the greater mainstream governments, with all their faults to the Islamist extremists, that are plenty worse. So, Al Qaeda desperate to bypass previous merely attacking their Muslim enemies, and attack the non-Muslim international locations that are in any respect friendly with their enemies. 9/11 exchange into the main properly-liked of those assaults, and the only valuable one on US soil so far. yet there have been comparable, although smaller, assaults in different international locations. apparently to me that, although Osama had an astonishing draw close of shape and the thank you to break homes, he did not have an rather sturdy draw close human beings society. He appeared to element that lots of people could convert to Islam simply by this attack. considered one of his acquaintances remarked that the individuals would desire to have theory a coup exchange into happening while the homes have been hit. relatively, they did not look to have any wisdom of how individuals could react.. yet then, the individuals additionally looked mystified relating to the thoughts of Al Qaeda and fellow travellers. P.S. It rather wasn't approximately Israel. Israel is an component concern.

Who cares?
It was a blatant act of aggression by fanatics that cannot be reasoned with, that so far has been met with a tepid, politically correct response.
We were attacked first, now logic dictates that we retaliate with every means at our disposal until the threat is either nullified or eliminated, regardless of collateral damage on the other side.

I recall that our government siezed Osama bin Ladens assets and accounts in this country. Where did OBL show his retributution, but on our assets and accounts. Using people disallusioned by what their own governments have done to them.
Our current reactionary policies have shown OBL how to proceed. The longer he goes the more he proves his impassive ideology right in the minds of the disallusioned. The longer we continue with reactionary practices, we help him prove himself.
