The problem is a lot more complex than just racism. Legal immigration is not a problem to most people. While there will always be those who are racist because they believe that their race should be on top of what ever it is they want to be on top of, most Americans do welcome immigrants. It is what the illegals are doing to the country that has caused the outrage against those who try to come here by illegal means. These people are soaking up the welfare benefits of people who should have a legitimate right to them. These people are also being exploited. Once they are found, we as a country feel obligated to help them. There is just so much money available for those who need it. These illegals are taking up resources but paying no taxes to support the system they are feeding on. It isn't so much racism as it is logistics. What we really should do is to make them go through the same process that the Mexican government makes foreigners go through to get a job in Mexico. It isn't an easy process. There are questions such as "why you and not a Mexican for this job", or the requirement for letters of recommendation, and back ground checks for any legal problems. It all is very complicated. That is how we should see if Mexican who are not "born here citizens" are qualified for a job.

So when did Racism become part of an illegal act? the problem you maybe seeing is that there is a larger single group coming from Mexico and other southern countries coming into the USA. We get all sort of illegals from all walks of life and back grounds. So racism is only seen by the larger group that is affected by it. This happens to be the poor natives of central America.

Mexicans are a Nationality, not a race. Native American is a race that covers both North and South America, The US army was very good at killing of this population in the USA, where as the Spanish used them to build and breed.

Although a very small amount of people have made racist comments to this, they did probably because, they may live in or around an area, with a lot of illegal immigrants involved in drugs, crime, and gangs.

For the most part, every other person is focused on the legality of it, and the lack of our Government doing anything to solve it, which brings about comments like yours. But, it is a fair statement for those whom makes those remarks, and not for all others who are looking at it in a legal prospective.

They don't. People like you show your racism by playing the race card with every issue. People are against illegal immigration b/c it's against the law. I support the death penalty, and obviously I dont care if the convicted person is white or not. If you break the law, be ready to pay. I support immigration, as long as it's legal.

What does racism have to do with expecting someone to not enter and remain in a country illegally? If I came to your house, broke in and moved in..would you call the cops? What if I was a minority? Would that make YOU a racist? My family came here legally. They came through Ellis Island, waited their turn, paid their dues and did things the right way. There was no welfare, no medicaid, no gov't support. You worked or died. My relatives faced signs..Irish and dogs need not apply. People today think its OK to sneak accross a border,ILLEGALLY. Suck off the system. Either not pay taxes (illegal) or use a phony SS number (illegal) They overburden our schools, are bankrupting our hospitals and straining our cities to the limits. I have no problem with people, from any land, who want to come here legally, assimilate and be one with this nation for future generations, unlike tose who come here today ILLEGALLY, with no respect, no plans to stay, no plans to assimilate. They are only here to use and abuse. Take and Take. Expecting people to follow the law is not racism,. Saying they are to dumd to follow the law because they are mexican is. Learn the difference and stop hiding behind the race cars whenever things don't go your way. If a white Irishman is here illegally send him back handcuffed to the mexican. It has nothing to do with race, so cut the crap....

I was on the side of the hard working immigrants that were illegal, until they marched in the streets holding the Mexico flag, that made it an invasion. I still admire the people but the flood gate has to be closed.

Racism is a crutch used by the uneducated as an excuse for their behavior. So that explains you, however, being anti-illegal has noting to do with "racism". No correlation whatsoever!!

What's racist about me thinking that people wishing to immigrate to my country should follow the laws of my country and get into it legally? I care no more if they are Canadians, Cubans, Haitians, or Mexicans. Some of the people wanting to come here are the same color as I am and I feel the same way about them coming here illegally as the others.

What I really find amazing is that people like you think the rest of us really care if you call us racist or not. I want to see elected officials obey the law, defend our country from foreign invaders, and educate those that are misguided enough to believe the leftist crap being fed to them.

You are the one making it about race. Those of us against illegal immigrants don't care what race you are, just that you entered the country illegally and are making things worse for everyone. My family are immigrants, legal <<<<<
