At a local high school in Texas, a principal is trying to enforce a displinary requirement that a student will be suspensed from school if they are tardy. Aslo this principal is trying to enforce a rule that a student that is caught sleeping in class will get expelled. So make comments and please give an answer. Thanks.

a rules a rule doesn't matter about the legality.if you don like the rules at that school dont go or send your kids there.or do you think the rules should be bent for 1 person?funny how many parents and kids think like that.

The principal has the authority to suspend. You have the right of appeal. Or at least your parents can for you. I have been trying to come up with a list of rights that persons under adult age have. So far I have come up with one. The right of way. Maybe.

School rules are by school district, not by state.

Unless the superintendent or school board rules against the principal, nothing can be done. The school makes the rules.

Umm we don't have that harsh of rules but I think they are done by district.And thank god they don't have those bad of rules at my school.I'd be expelled....ok my school would be nonexistant cause I know almost everybody has fallen asleep in class a few times.
