Einstein quotations:

* "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
* "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."
* "Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods."
* "In order to form an immaculate member of a flock of sheep one must, above all, be a sheep."

I will be going to basic at the end of this month and realized that I haven't told my nephew I will be leaving. I have helped raise him since birth and we are very close. I just can't figure out how to explain the concept of military to a 5 yr old. All he seems to get is that Aunt Holly is leaving him.

Churchill was a lighting rod for the media’s pre-war carping. His staunch allies in Parliament today would be labeled “neocons.” They too were vilified, nearly demonized as war-loving meanies out to stir up trouble. Nazi threat? You're kidding!

Geoffrey Dawson, chief editor of The Times (of London), thought so, too, about Churchill in the mid-1930s. Churchill's arch critic, there is no single equivalent to Dawson in today's largely Bush-loathing, surely liberal American news media, led by the sometimes stridently anti-Bush New York Times and Washington Post, to say nothing of the 7/24 major TV networks such as CBS.

If someone enters the USA on a J-1 Exchange Visa they have to leave at the end of their trip (max 3 years I believe). If they find a job during this time and want to become a permanent resident in the USA how can they do it? Do they have to leave the country and apply for a new Visa or can they change their Visa category inside the USA?

If N Korea were about to launch a nuclear missile toward the US or S. Korea would you use one of our nukes to stop that?
If a large force of US troops were about to be overrun by a huge horde of enemy troops would you allow the ground commander to use a small tacrical nuke to prevent the loss of his men?
Would you support the use of a nuke to stop Iran from developing its nuclear program if you knew for certain they were developing an offensive nuclear capability?
If another country used a nuke (or even attempted to) to take out a US city or a US Navy fleet would you support using a nuke(s) in rertailiation?
Is there any circumstance under which you would support the use of nuclear weapons?
I'm just trying to find out where people stand on this question, because I believe our leaders have made decisions about some circumstances already......

War On Terror: Aside from the Democrats and their media allies, the only people happy about the election results are the terrorists who want to kill us. They got the Congress they were hoping for.

Before the election, which saw the party of John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi return to power, Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the man who led the terrorist group's 2002 seizure of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, expressed this wish: "Americans should vote Democratic."

Joining the Islamofascist chorus was Hamas' Abu Abdullah, who worried that Democrats might not keep their pre-election promises: "I am afraid that even after the American people will elect those who promise to leave Iraq, the U.S. will not do so." Fear not, Abdullah. Pelosi is working on it as we speak.

Movies like "Faranheit 9/11" and "Loose Change". Why don't people research what they watch instead of just believing it? Do people honestly believe that Micheal(dont know how to spell that) Moore is politically correct?

I feel like I can direct and create any movie and people will believe its true. Why can't people question what they see on television like real political addicts?

But some of Bush’s attackers, same as who savaged Churchill, prefer somehow to believe the current war is a political shell game, a sham; that in spite of nearly 3,000 Americans massacred on 9/11/01, plus hundreds more (USS Cole, Khobar Towers, et al.), that it’s only about ideology. Shades of the past, indeed!

I liked Bush but he seems to have messed up in Iraq w/ an endless war and over 3,000 dead Americans for non-existant WMDs. Now he wants to combine the worst of LBJ (escalation) and Nixon's (secret) plan.

As Commander in Chief shouldn't Pr. Bush be held accountable for his job performance like all other employees?
Has he and the NeoCons done a good job in Iraq?
Over 3000 dead Americans and $450 BIllions dollars to replace Saddam with an insurgency and greater instability in the MiddleEast.
Jerry Brown for President in 2008! It's a done deal!.
