There are soldiers in my unit that have to drive 3 hours to get to the armory to change their AKO password when the 150 day period is up. They must either do that or stay out of the loop until drill or go through the hassle of changing their password every 3 days. One has to wonder if the fact that many Guard and Reserve soldiers have no easy access to a keyboard with a CAC reader was considered when instituting this policy.

Have any fellow Guardsmen or members of the Reserves had this difficulty?

So now Bush wants to provide a "surge" of military troops to Iraq to clear out the insurgency. More hundreds of millions. Then he wants to provide a "jobs".More hundreds of millions, pumping up to $1bn into Iraq's shattered economy to boost morale. The details of the plan - from painting schools to cleaning streets - have a ring of earlier failed initiatives launched with high hopes by the US military.
But I thought we had already built new schools. Now we have to paint them? What is going on? And Iraqi citizens who can find no other jobs are already "cleaning" streets. This so reminds me of jobs programs here in the states. Menial jobs for people who simply do not matter. The only difference is that we are doing it in a country not our own.
Nothing you do is working Mr. Bush.Iraq is broken, as as your policies, plans and dreams.

what are the first steps to getting a law changed?

There are things I really want to change like.. the justice system against child molestors and rapist (seems like they just get a slap on the wrist)

also against domestic violence, and abortion

Why is it that certain animals cannot be slaughtered but an unborn child has no protection? (another words the womb is the most dangerous place to be.)

I have called the apartment manger, she gave them a notice explaining the noise rules in the lease agreement. Yet the very next night starting at 10:30 until 3am - techno, rave, and who knows what else is pounding though the walls. I have called the cops (2x's)- they show up and tell them to turn off the music, but they don't show up for 2hrs after I have called. I don't want to have to call the cops every night!
I printed off a copy of the county's noise ordance and I want to post it at the mailboxes and one personally to their door. Will that get me into trouble? Do you have any other ideas on how to keep the noise down? I am loosing sleep!!!!

Al-Qaida seems to have quite a working knowledge of our electoral system and the difference between a red state and blue state. In a videotape broadcast on al-Jazeera on Oct. 29, 2004, it said: "Any U.S. state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security."

In case the message wasn't clear, the Muslim extremist Web site Al-Qala provided this interpretation: "It means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president has chosen to fight us, and we will consider it our enemy.

Any state that will vote against Bush has chosen to make peace with us, and we will not characterize it as an enemy." Presumably this applies to congressional as well as presidential elections.

I was pulled over by a state trooper for speeding in Wisconsin just between Madison and Milwaukee around 1:00am last night. Unfortunately, I'm guilty as charged. But when the cop approached my car his first comment was "Good evening, do you speak English?"

As a second generation Korean American I was a bit offended by the presumptuous question. Is this standard procedure or was this a bit out of line?

My husband recived a letter from the csa saying that he is to start paying.. the problem is although he admits he has got children and has to pay. one of the children is not his he has got one child with his ex but she is claiming her other son is his, which considering he was born 2 years after my own son and 1 year before my daughter would mean him having an afair anyway he is disputing the fact with the csa and now having to take a dna test which we dont mind paying for.. we are wanting to know if there is any legal action we can take against her as my husband has went into deep depresion

I am pretty clued up on a lot that goes on in the UK. But it is nigh on impossible in a lot of cases to know whether the question being asked is relevant to the UK. Different laws etc. apply to almost all countries.

So please could everyone get in to the habit of saying where they are from.
