what are the first steps to getting a law changed?

There are things I really want to change like.. the justice system against child molestors and rapist (seems like they just get a slap on the wrist)

also against domestic violence, and abortion

Why is it that certain animals cannot be slaughtered but an unborn child has no protection? (another words the womb is the most dangerous place to be.)

And again, I will give you the same answer...the common sense one (at least with the abortion part of your question): many animals are an endangered species, they exist in very limited numbers...many have long been extinct. The numbers of the human population of this planet are well over 6 billion. The population is out of control and humans are not going to become endangered or extinct any time soon (at least not until our enormous numbers use up all the planet's resources, then we're screwed...what then???)

By the way, I do no consider myself a liberal, nor a feminist...but a person who sees reality for what it is.

The process of creating, elominating or changing a current law in America is pretty straight forward...it's known as a ballot iniative. The process begind with the gathering of signatures, the amount required to place the requested iniative can vary from State to State. If this phase is successful then the iniative now becomes a ballot proposition in whicnh the voters either approve or reject. If approved the proposition finally becomes a law.

The other way is to convince your law makers either local or federal to introduce a bill within their jurisdiction and have it voted on by the members of that body.
