Too bad no one bothers to read the Constitution about foreign aid Also.....the stats on unemployment. are misleading. The reason it is so low is because so many ran out of unemployment benefits...they are now off the rolls. It's like they don't even exist anymore!

Yes......we AMERICANS should be taken care of first and foremost! WE are the ones that pay the lawmakers salaries!

BTW....why isn't Iraq paying for this war? Odd you never hear anything about the oil......has that been done on purpose?? Hmmm???

If I was the president and I knew it would bring peace to Iraq I'd ask for a billion too. There's only one way to know if it will work: try it and see what happens. If it works, great, if it doesn't, at least it was tried. The economy in the USA is doing OK for now and a billion dollars isn't what it used to be when the federal budget has now reached the trillion dollar range. You have a point, but if putting a billion dollars in job programs works to help bring peace to Iraq it will have been worth it.

final I looked the federal government alongside with state and local governments spend over one thousand billion funds a three hundred and sixty 5 days on human beings. There may well be so lots greater funds available if we stopped offering taxpayer funded courses to unlawful aliens, and decrease the bloated pay of many employed with the aid of government. enable's all artwork at the same time to stop giving funds to illegals, and to trim back the outrageous pay many interior the everyday public sector acquire.

Remember in the 80's and 90's when they let American companies produce products with slave like conditions in the Northern Marianas and still label the products Made in the USA. Maybe they want to do that again.

If the Bush regime had`nt sacked 1/2 million Iraqis when they took over Iraq this would not have been necessary.

Nah. Too practical. Gotta keep busting those "socialist" unions here while training tomorrow's oil well workers overseas. How soon before a Super Walmart-Baghdad goes up, do ya think?

President Bush is trying to clear his conscience of guilt, by creating jobs for Iraqis, which will have no takers of course.

This is the entire problem I see in America .
We have been told so often that if you want to get ahead all you need is an education .
Partly true in the sense that now you can work for the government and those contractors that work for the government .
What about the rest of America seeing as not everyone can work for the government . Some one has to pay taxes .Those taxes are only collected from incoming Goods from foreign countries and domestic goods Sold here and abroad for profit .The pay of those workers is taxed and so are the consumers who purchase them in the end all taxes are consumer taxes .
It is important to remember who can pay taxes at this point .
If your income is derived from taxes as are all public servants then taxing you is impossible .Although you due pay taxes along with everyone else it is an illusion that you are part of the tax system .Yes you pay property taxes and income taxes but you derive your pay and subsistence in large part from the taxes paid by people who produce goods in the form of your salary . It is what the government chooses to spend the taxes collected from real tax payers that is of concern . I do not mind receiving services from my government and insist they provide roads ,police , fire , teachers ,schools but only through the eighth grade. That public servants are income tax free . do not pay property tax ,sales tax ,or any tax . They should be tax exempt unless they start a business which then produces something in return of value that is not paid with taxes .
This weeds out the governments control on people . This shows and defines who actually pays taxes for real and what the actual budget would be for all our services .
Overpaying government workers and taking part of that income back in taxes is a bad concept .
This causes inflation to a large extent .
Now as for spending a billion dollars of tax money anyplace except the United States of America is a bad program unless we get something in return down the road that is equal to the money spent .
Give away programs like this is taxation without representation .
As a tax payer certain services are needed from the government .Most can be handled locally .locals services should only be paid by that community . If New York city fails to tax its residents to pay for services my tax dollar should not go to building a new subway platform or the salary of government workers .My money and taxes should only be used in the county of my residence .This provides opportunity for the people who will make up my community .
Iraq is not part of my community .What part of do not spend my money someplace else around the world do people not get . Because I may travel and use services such as roads I do feel a small obligation to pay for them in a simple gas tax .With a percentage going to my county state and federal Government .
Who ever said the government can better allocate the money collected in taxes . The local county is the best determiner of this .The fed should only receive a small portion of my income to defend (DEFEND) not attack others .The common good of all people should rest in its community .Like homelessness , Each community should provide a bed and food and a shower and used clothes and also have a system in which these people are expected to work .You stay here and a member of the community can come by and take you to perform odd jobs .These jobs should pay a wage and in return after a short time you should have enough money to manage your life again . I really feel I have the answers to making the nation a better place and it does not have anything to do with a billion dollars going to anyone in Iraq .Or Increasing taxes . It has to do with getting government of my back .All the games they play with accounting and tax money coming in and going out the value of buildings and land and all the crap they use to print more money ,expand government and take my profits for there purposes .
A federal government is needed and it can tax goods coming in to pay for it self along with a small budget for the military to defend me from foreign threats . I want my local government control back . The money to stay in my county and county's that only have as there sole income government funded jobs would end .As these people would not pay taxes or contribute to the community .
They would be seen as a burden and this would cut the size of government quickly .The government is a living thing fighting for survival .Its artificial intelligence With hundreds of small brains powering the concept that more government spending is good . When we all know that it is not .

Isn't that typical of everything emperor bush does....middle-class Americans have been forced (thru our tax dollars) to support mexico & illegal aliens for decades so why would we be surprised bushy is now adding iraq to the list of those we must support..God help middle-class Americans our country has forsaken us..... seems most elected officials have forgotten the "promote domestic tranquility" part of their oath!

The tax breaks for outsourcing companies started under Clinton, and we all know that the left doesn't want to discuss him cause it was so long ago. Thus said, you are bringing up a dead issue.
