I think it's really sad. Another words, the womb is the most dangerous place to be.

Your thoughts and opinions on this please?

PETA and their whack-job members help ensure animal rights... mainly because the armpits of the female PETA members generally resemble the fur of a woolly mammoth.

Seriously though.... it is strange how the libs support exactly what you are saying. The sanctity of INNOCENT human life (and yes a fetus is alive) plays second fiddle to a spotted owl or a wolf. It is actually quite sad.

There are several valid reasons to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. If the woman was raped and conceived, if the woman's birth control failed and has no interest in being a mother, or if the woman is actually a young adult (14-17) and is not ready to be a mother are great reasons to consider abortion. Meanwhile, killing animals is almost completely undebatable. We've survived on the killing of animals for food and clothing, that has been pretty much acceptable throughout the centuries. A bald eagle, as far as I know, has never been on the list of animals killed for survival. Keep in mind that a bald eagle was on the endangered species list prior to 2007 as well, while humans were not.

You are mistaken - there are laws against the killing of an unborn child. Clearly, you are referring to abortion, but a person can be charged with more than one count of homicide if the mother is killed while pregnant. This might vary state by state and by the circumstances, but the law exists and has been used against certain murderers. It also can weigh heavily on a judge's decision when a sentence is handed down.

Obviously because there is a majority of people who think differently than you do. I don't like the fact that Bush was "elected" not once, but twice, but I have to get over it because obviously a majority of people wanted him as president.

You pro life people really need to get out of the box, no one is telling you to have an abortion or to use abortion as a means of birth control. There are a lot of sick things happening out there and no one should be forced to give birth because of a bunch of hypocritical people think that "education" is the answer. Well, I say the whole family unit needs to be "educated' there are some people out there who should not be having kids. People should be required to have parenting classes and counseling before they bring children into the world...but that's not going to happen either, is it? I should just get over it like you should. And leave the animals out of it, it's not even remotely close to the same thing.

The absurd reasoning of feminists and the U.S. Supreme Court of 1973 essentially views the unborn baby as a "non-human" by virtue of his/her location and dependence on his/her mother. The other part of this absurd reasoning is that the state is somehow wrongly exerting influence on the woman's "body." (Except the abortion procedure does not kill the mother; it kills the unborn baby.) And the state tells people what to do with their bodies all the time: helmet and seatbelt laws, alimony/maintenance, etc.

To believe all this, you'd have to ignore the fact that all people are dependent on others to some degree; you'd have to ignore the mass injustice of penalizing a baby for where it resides; and the you'd have to ignore the fact that the Constitution/Bill of Rights says NOTHING about abortion or privacy.

Since 1973, roughly 45 million eliminated thanks to feminism. We've come a long way, baby.

Because the lawmakers passed law which state how things are.

I have never heard of a jurisdiction with law such as you suggest, and while I do doubt that it exists, I would be curious to see your sources.

Becasue there are bleeding heart liberals in the world. Abortion should not be used as a method of birth control. People should abstain and wait for marriage like they did in the old days. I know sounds corny but there were less problems. My 02.cents.

because certain animals are probably close to becoming extinct, and there is an overpopulation problem currently with the human race, AND...

My womb is in my body and NO ONE has anyright to tell me what to do with my body. We can all beleive what we want to beleive, but until the umbilical cord is cut, that fetus is a part of my body and if I want it removed, it's my choice. Government has no business enforcing morals or ethical beliefs on anyone.
