I have a cure for bosses like that..,try calling him at three in the morning and tell him you just remembered that office supplies are short and felt he needed to know or any other stupid question you can think of.It will take care of it.If he can call you at home and ask you come into work early for no meeting, then I say turn about is fair play.Good luck.Of course there are other ways to get even..,super glue coffee cup to his desk, etc.

Well first of all, if your boss calls your house after hrs letting you know that there is going to be a meeting that is OK depending on what your job title is. I would imaging you make descent money so its worth it.
Now if you go to work and the meeting was canceled then Ya I would be upset but it happens.
NOW if you go to work and there never was a meeting , then I think your boss might have some other intentions. What you should do is note this event and watch to see if it happens again. If it happens again then you need to let your boss know that you aren't interested and ask kindly for him NOT to call your house unless its a job related emergency and not to call after a certain hour.

If he continues to call you after you have asked nice, then you need to go over his / her head so its documented, also contact a lawyer so its documented that you called on a certain date and threaten Sexual Harassment.

The meeting may have been cancelled, but by showing up early to be at this supposed meeting shows that you are a team player and willing to go out of your way for the company good. You showed good judgement, but the whining about sunday night though should be just between us.
