As for the question of will Harper be PM next year, there is already talks of a spring election, Jack Layton is planning to put forth a non-confidence vote over the handling of the war in Afghanistan and environmental concerns. This is reinforced by Harper's recent shuffling of cabinet.

It is my opinion that Canada will be at the polls sooner than expected, The conservatives have been consistently loosing steam the polls and will most likely not maintain their fragile minority.

Definitely. The polls had the world record shortest new leader bump for Mr Dion and the Conservatives are once again in the lead. In addition, another Liberal has crossed the floor to be with the winning side. Easy Conservative majority in next election.
