This liberal dislikes what seems obvious: President Bush was made a president by the REAL elitists, the people who can get a mediocre student into an ivy league school, the people who had an agenda and found a person they could manipulate. They could teach him the right "Christian" buzz words, when to use "folks" instead of "people," and sadly, many believe political gimmicks.
These same elitists called upon us to support a war that was planned long before 9/11, a war based on lies patriotically issued to those who would be enticed to fight, a war supposedly financed by Iraqi oil revenues but in reality on the backs of the American people, a war during which the poor and middle class wait for e-mails from Iraq, dreading an unexpected knock on their doors while others exclaim the wonders of our great economy. A war that allows some to anticipate the future as others bury theirs.
Finally, as you knot the Stars and Stripes exclusively around your conservative cross, perhaps you do not realize how insulting your question is to all the Christian and non-Christian liberals who love their country and have loved ones in uniform.

even as I agree that Bush has not been the worst president in American historic previous, to call him between the nicely ideal is slightly premature. The institution of "strong Christian Values" contained in the White abode will go away with him. Any institution he made is momentary and the legacy will be short-lived and remembered otherwise in accordance to who follows and how Iraq finally settles. The lengths Bush has lengthy previous to guard this usa might want to or might want to not have overstepped some barriers. i have self assurance in a time of warfare that he might want to attempt this and be completely wonderful with it, inspite of the indisputable fact that, once the warfare has ended, if the measures he put in position do not stand to reason or our structure it would want to all be for naught. The tax cuts helped more suitable than merely the middle type. maximum all of us benefited from it, besides the actual incontrovertible truth that those not used to a providence in all likelihood did not understand what to do with it. i'm not as particular it "kept the commercial device" inspite of the indisputable fact that it easily did help pull us out of a recession. Many presidents have tried courses for the tutorial device...except placed extra emphasis on the basics. Bush's application supplies a way of measuring, yet even as faculties concentration extra on the try than the tutorial of the little ones, there's a topic.

As a liberal I don't really hate either of those things about President Bush.
I think most Christians are great people and I am all for defending America, as I'm sure every American is. I just disagree with the president's methods, thats all.
It is my right as an American to disagree with the president and to say publicly that I do. In fact it is my duty. Dissent is an essential part of democracy, so if we are going to claim to be a free and democratic nation then we need to stop trying to shout one another down and listen to all points of view.

The hypocrisy of both.
As a devout Christian, I can tell you first hand that Bush does not read the same Bible that I hold dear.
As president, he has not defended America, otherwise 9-11 would have been thwarted.

I am a liberal. I am also a veteran who served his country honorably. How dare you or any who answer your question in the same tone you asked it say that I hate anyone for being willing to defend this nation. Have you served? Have you actually been in a situation in which people were trying to kill you because of the uniform you wore? If not how dare you presume to judge me. If you have served then you should really be ashamed. Not may veterans would stoop that low.
I dislike (not hate) this President because he led this nation into a war based on false pretenses, because he has has degraded our civil liberties through the pracices of spying on citizens of this nation here at home (even to the extent of delaring our private mail no longer inviolate), because he has pushed a program which makes it possible for the protection of the writ of habeus corpus to be withdrawn, but mostly because he has put US troops in harms way with no discernable goal. To make this problem worse he is proposing to put 20,000 more troops in Iraq in spite of the fact that his own generals have stated that nothing short of 200,000 to 350,000 troops will have a desired impact. The President's response? He is once again replacing the generals.
Nobody can stop you from deluding yourelf into beliveving that people dislike the President for the reasons you have listed. If you want to continue to fool yourself go ahead and do it. The truth is, however, there are many good reasons for realizing this administration has served this nation and the world poorly.

This is an interesting question. I have an uncle that claims he hates him because of the way he walks! I have never seen the word "hate" tossed around so much as over the past six years. In answer to your question, I think it's a bit of both. The interesting thing to me is that I haven't heard one complaint about Pelosi invoking religion into her speeches, and remember how many liberal candidates were speaking in African American Churches during the elections. I just ignore the ignorance.

they hate more not both of it. What they hate is his willingness to start a war (example at Iraq) I think not only liberals hate it, but also every people in this world (except the one who get profit from it!)
The 'threat' he said was only a 'password' to straighten his way.
If you see, every country that he attack was only a small country
that had NOTHING even to survive!
hopefully everybody realize this........

Hi,
The majority of the American people, Democrats and Republicans showed their dislike of bush in general in the outcome of the midterm elections. You repubs always seem to like to contaminate the conversation with words like hate.
This comes from years of brain washing from the loveable little fuzz ball (as he calls himself) of all his skulls full of mush and ditto heads (which he calls his republican listeners) known as Rush Limbaugh, you know, the fine upstanding prescription drug abuser who got caught.
If a republican is not spewing hatred and lying, denying accusing, and name calling it is probally because it is asleep.
When are you repubs going to get past the name calling, lying, denying, and accusing stage to where you can provide some substance in trying to protect bush in relating to what he has done right, instead of tagging those who are opposed to his actions as bush haters.
It's like saying, bush is really a nice guy, but it's all those nasty old bush haters who make him look bad.
Bush is a loser and there are less than 30% of american people who still support him. That means 70%, which is comprised of Democrats and ex bush loving Republicans, of the American people, dislike, (A republican would use the word hate) what bush has either screwed up, failed to do, or does not plan to do.
So when are anyone of you hate spewing republicans going to step up to the plate and try and defend bush in relating to what he has done right, instead of accusing Liberals and Democrats of hating bush.
You also have to include the Republicans that have seen bush's true colors and are now in the majority of American people who dislike him for many different reasons which include hiding behind the Christian religion, and staging an illegal war for oil and Halliburton contracts in the middle east and fighting a war against terrorism based on lies in a country that had absolutely nothing to do with terrorism or 911.
I am curious as to which part of the above you bush lovers and supporters do not get, or understand???

As an independent, I hate him for not catching Bin Laden. I hate him for socializing with Bin Ladens family on 9-11. I hate him for only allowing Bin Ladens family to fly on 9-11. I hate him for committing treason when he over-rode our constitution. I HATE HIM a lot for brainwashing poor christians into believing hes right. I hate him even more for worshiping satan every summer with all the people who control our WORLD. (google bohemian grove) I hate him for lying about Iraq. I hate him for his b.s. war that killed two of my close friends and injured one in Iraq. I hate the fact that even though we're going to steal 1/3 of the worlds oil, gas will rise and big-oil will get richer then any of us here will ever imagine.
I leave you with this.
If our administration was SO CONCERNED with defending America, NORAD wouldnt have been called to stand down that horrible day.

In all honestly it's because he is doing such a lousy job at it.
As far as him being a good Christian all he does is use that to hide behind to make himself look good. Did you ever see the video on You Tube with him giving the finger & laughing that it was a one finger salute.
Yeah, good Christian man....
