Second hand smoke doesn't show any health problem til very late in life and even then there's people who don't smoke or are around smoking that get lung cancer too... how many of those people who do smoke would have gotten it anyway? It's just like people who don't drink can still get cirrhosis of the liver!

I love the people that are so concerned about 2nd hand smoke when they go to a bar bc they're so afraid for their own health they're drinking themselves to death......... I can see it now "that @ss gave me lung cancer, i was specifically at the bar to get cirrhosis of the liver!!!"

Would anybody else like to see a bunch of obnoxious little ASBO chavs who think they are dead "hard" (you know, the ones who hang round the streets threatening old ladies and twoccing cars and trying to mug people) go through military training to sort out just how "hard" they actually are?

I was thinking of something like the SAS selection course with "Seargent Eddie Stone" (That scary Glaswegian who took the contestants through "SAS are you tough enough")

Methinks they'd last five minutes before they would be crying for their mummies.

Might teach them some discipline though . . .

The woman, whose identity has not been revealed by Sant Pau hospital, gave birth by caesarian section on Saturday having previously undergone in vitro fertilization in the United States, according to the national news agency EFE.

Originally from the southern region of Andalucia, the new mother chose the Barcelona hospital because it specializes in high-risk births.

The mother and twins are all doing well though the babies are both in incubators, a hospital spokeswoman said. The hospital did not reveal the gender of the twins.

The previous holder of the oldest mother record was 66-year-old Romanian citizen Adriana Iliescu who gave birth to baby Eliza Maria in Jan. 2005.

I recently watched a DVD called "Who killed the electric car" and it really opened my eyes. The technology exists RIGHT NOW to build affordable electric cars with a range of 300 miles, that go fast (Search Tesla Motors, they make one right now). SUV's can also be produced that are electric. So why aren't more people mad about this? If enough people spoke to thier elected officials and this technology was really allowed to develop, there would be NO dependency on foreign oil.

I was thinking about how the police always gather fingerprints from a crime-scene and then need to find suspects and obtain their prints so they can match the two. But sometimes there isn't a suspect who matches those found at the scene. So isn't it possible for there to be a law which requires every U.S. citizen to have their fingerprints taken and stored on a database, so that why if there is a crime with fingerprints there wouldn't be a need for suspects since every person's prints have already been taken...it's just a matter then of having the computers match the prints. It would have to be mandatory though, like how we have to have immunizations.

This to me would one, solve the business owners rights to operate their business as the owners of such
two, would stop the argument of inhaling 2nd hand smoke...they would know where to go or not go
three, the smokers then could light up and not feel threatened?
fourth, the states then could still get their tax money they like

It seems it's got it's good points in that it encourages people to be more green and less racist, sectarian, discriminatory etc., by not talking about or publicly disagreeing with certain subjects.

However, it doesn't make it go away it just stifles debate on the subject. It is effectively censorship by manipulation. It's putting a lid on things rather than making them go away.
