Ya know...all these people who say that illegals use up the resources that should go to the homeless... are using that argument as a ploy. If the illegals were all gone (which is never going to happen) not one iota of saved revenue or resources would go to the homeless. The same people who are so opposed to illegals also hold the homeless guilty for their plight.

I moved last year to a city 10 hours from where I did live. I went with nothing..When I applied for food, rent assistance help with utilities, etc. I was turned down..do you know why.. I was from the wrong country (US) ..had I been illegal..I could have gotten any help I needed...I know I saw illegals in the welfare office, sect. 8, etc. I had to quit school and move again. Thence I still have no college education..still can't get a good job..If they wre not sucking our country dry, less people would be homeless because the govt would have the money saved on them to build shelters, fund more sect. 8 apts, etc. and help those that REALLY do need help (mexicans don't need that much help)...not all homeless are alcoholics.. I was almost homeless (sect 8 wouldn't help me) and I am not an alcoholic..I moved to better myself with an education and I was punished for not being an illegal..

woooow. the homeless are homeless because are govt is not doing their job. I'm from Chicago ill. i had to do a report on the homeless once. they said are govt is doing for the illegals before they do for their own. they tax the hell out of Americans and let the illegals get away with everything. illegals get better medical help then Americans. and as long as we have a corrupt govt they will get their monthly s.s checks and live on the streets. and the ones who are still young said they will not pay taxes because of this. so don't go judging before you know your facts. the illegals are homeless because they are finding it harder to do things here while being illegal. they should just go back and become legal.

If you think the homeless are being ignored then you are grossly uninformed. Some of the illegals are homeless but if they are not then why can't the homeless get the same shelter as uninformed illegals who can't even speak the language.
Because most of the illegals get off their a** and actually work to improve their lot in life.

The issue of Illegals is draining our economy and that, in itself, cuts funding to the true homeless. We have a group of them close to where I live. They are out on the corners every day, collecting money, getting hand outs. Then they walk to their vehicles, change into their normal clothes, and drive their year or two old vehicle to their half million dollar home or condo cause they can make 4-6 hundred a day, wearing ragged clothes and looking like crap.
I am not saying their are not homeless people out there. But you got to know where to look for them.

I don't believe we should ignore the homeless situation, but with iillegal immigrants comig into our country from all sides & enjoying the benefits of our country, how can we provide more for our homeless if we are forced to take care of people who don't belong in our country in the first place? My in-laws came into this country over 30 years ago and took the proper steps to becoming citizens. Thats how it should be. I thin in a country supposedly as powerful and "rich" as we are, its embarrassing to have homeless families. Its time to take care of our own FIRST & then use our resources to help other countries.

No it is not. But our government seems to think that it is. To many of our homeless are mentally ill people. Some are just lazy or drug addicted, and some are just criminals. They all need to be identified and handled accordingly. But again, our government on a local, state and national level are deficient. I suspect that there are thousands of murders and rapist that hide underground in the homeless camps praying in the mentally ill.

If we get rid of the illegal aliens we will be able to help our own homeless more. There will also be fewer murders in the USA if we get rid of the illegals. In Los Angeles 95% of all outstanding murder warrants are for people known to be illegal aliens.

you know what is sad......the amount of money spent and wasted on just people campaigning for say president.....could solve the homeless issue in the USA for the entire 4 yrs of each president.
so whats more important.....a few banners and signs that end up in a land fill......or filling a child's stomach and putting a roof over their head?
messed up world isn't it.....just goes to show what greed really is. Like Daffy Duck use to say.....MINE MINE MINE MINE.
