The illegals are here to stay. Nothing is going to change that. They're entrenched and the system relies on them. For those folks who have turned this into a vendetta... all they're doing is blowing smoke. They have absolutely no power or method to turn back the clock or reverse the realities. Illegal Mexican immigrants are in America, and they're not leaving.
Make them legal. Any other approach is insane. And unachievable.

Anytime a country is invaded, and America has been invaded, there is greater concern about the invaders then the residents.
However, the American society does worry about it's own people. This is evident in the increasing amount of charitiable contributions by the American people (I realize a significant portion of those contributions also help other countries, but that is just the way Americans are).
Now to make the issue as simple as possible, pretend you are a homeowner with a small child. You hear someone breaking into your house.
What do you do? Do you worry that the disturbance may wake your child or do you worry about the illegal entry into your house?
Most logical people (I realize that may not make sense to you) would worry about both - getting the child to safety AND the illegal entry into your house.
Now you may falsely claim that America is not being invaded. That would be ANOTHER false assumption on your part.
America is being invaded. Now just because the invaders do not wear a unique uniform, march in step, and carry guns, does not mean that they are not invaders.
The majority of them are the unorganized militia (if you are also ignorant of the true meaning of this word, please look it up) and their presence in the US is just as damaging as if they were the organized militia.
They sap America's resources, clog the roads, export money from the US, kill American citizens, and pretty much everything that the Germans did in France during World War II!
And just because they may contribute momentarily to the US society does not justify their crimes.
Remember a thief in the night does reduce the clutter in the victim's house. Does that justify the illegal entry?
My advice to you is to have a reality check and know something about your topic before you speak/write.

Because American citizens are already being taken care of.
This country was founded on Lockean beliefs, as in those penned by John Locke. They state that the government's only requirements are to give its citizens life, liberty, and property. As far as I know, a vast majority of the people who live here are alive; last time I checked, we have the most freedoms of any other country in the world; and finally, everyone has been given the opportunity to own property. More often than not, it's a person's own fault if they don't.
Also, you have to bear in mind that this country was founded on immigration and the principle to accept anyone who may come to live here.

The illegal issue is worring about our own people. WHere have you been. Illegals cost us billions each year. It is changing our way of life. Having to educate illegals, teach them english so they can learn, paying for their medical all cost the rest of us billions of dollars. Money that could be spent on our own citizens. Having a border that anyone can get across means that any terrorist who wants to get in our country to do harm can. You need to wake up and smell the coffee. Every answer you got gives a reason, you are just to stubborn to admit it. Must be one of those liberals who cant see the truth for the tears you shed for the people who break our laws.

Yes because illegals and cheap labor drive down wages for Americans, companies see that they can pay this illegal 3/hr, instead of paying this legal 8/hr. Then you take in consideration prison spending and other tax dollars used to control illegals and house them, it adds up.

Because the illegal issue IS a problem for those of us who pay taxes. Illegals take the food out of the mouths of poor Americans.

Well your question is kind of flawed.
We need to eliminate the illegals that are here first to open up some of our resources to help our own citizens!
