Looks like you didn't get any good answers that were pro. For some reason the pros just don't understand that, give me your poor etc. still means you have to enter legally, not by sneaking across the border. How about this answer.
Because it makes me feel good!
Liberals always seem to make decisions based on feelings, not facts so that should be the right answer and it should win best answer.

Well, I haven't seen any "real" reasons given in answers to your question, so far. Good luck! There are no "real" reasons. I have not seen a single one on this forum yet, and I have been on here for nearly a year now. They are either like some others here have said, the "La Raza" types with a plan and a mission to take over the USA or else they are American citizens who are in romantic relationships with illegal immigrants and so for their own selfish reasons want amnesty, hoping to get to keep their loved ones here. Or, they are employers of illegal immigrants, benefiting from the cheap slave labor. All selfish reasons that do not look at what is to the general good of the the country but, instead, what illegal immigration gets for their own self-centered self. They don't care that, overall, illegal immigration is devastating to our country - no, as long as they get what they want for themselves. They don't care about the future of the country and the crumbling economic system due to illegal immigrants using our medical care without paying (closing down hospitals), enrolling their illegal kids in our schools (overburdening and downgrading our schools and the educations of our own children), using welfare and food stamps that they have never contributed to and so are not entitled to, but get anyways (usually by having an anchor baby or two or by using fake/fraudulent ID), causing fair wages to fall for jobs that Americans would do gladly for a fair and decent wage, etc., etc. No, you will never hear a true valid reason that takes into consideration the greater good of the country over their own selfish wants.

I have a friend who arrived to the US when she was eight years old. She was never the recipient of welfare or any other governmental benefit besides public education. She learned English, and attends a community college right now. With her grades in H.S. she could have had her pick of in-state universities.
She has never been in a gang or has had any problem with the law. Her family is here and owns a home. She has no immediate relatives in Mexico and the relatives she does have, she has not seen for almost a decade and a half. She did not make a choice to come here. Since then, her parents have become legal, but she has not.
Immigration sounds very easy to the people that post here. Fill the application and become a citizen. Yet, it is not how the world operates. Without amnesty her life will be on hold for a decade while she waits for a visa. She cannot work, drive or attend a university. As the system stands, playing by the rules is nothing more than a way to kill your dreams.
It would be great if she was the exception, but her story is common.

When President Bush first announced in spring, 2001, that he planned to grant amnesty to illegal Mexican aliens and allow them to qualify for entitlement programs, most Americans were opposed. His plan is being received with even less favor now as the nation is straining under a $7 trillion debt and all the tension and paranoia of our post-9/11, war on terror world.
The biggest question on the minds of Americans is “Why?” The Bush administration has no real answer except that it claims the U.S. and Mexican economies are so dependent upon one another it's just the neighborly thing to do. There is no evidence to suggest that Mexican President Vicente Fox intends to return the favor.
From the Idaho Observer.
Perhaps President George W. Bush can explain why he still wants to give amnesty to 8-20,000,000 mexican illegals? He sure could use them to "build up" the military, couldn't he?

The old definition of what constitutes "Good Citizenship" is outdated. We need a new one that says that "Good Citizenship entails the ability to lie, cheat, steal, and not get caught for x number of years."
That is how illegals are "earning citizenship" under the amnesty plan!
By the way, there is room on the statue of Liberty so that we can add
Give me your criminals and outcasts.

The U.S.A. was founded to give shelter to immigrants who are hard working and law abiding, take the trouble to learn the language and fit in with the community they have settled in. The U.S.A is as a result now the richest nation in the world the giving of permission to settle (amnesty) should only be to people who abide by these simple rules. People who are clearly not willing to comply with the existing laws should not be welcome. In special cases where orphans or disabled folk can be maintained by willing relatives or friends with ample means to sponsor and support them, permission to settle should be given.

Sure,
That way they can garner more votes for the likes of Antonio Villaraigosa, Joe Baca, Gloria Molina et al who are very clear about their plans for California. Once they have enough votes they will pass legislation that is anti everyone but "La Raza"

If you have not ever heard of the "Battle of the Crib" then you are in another World!
Our Republic is based on the popular vote! It is what Soverienghty is all about-the will of the people controlling their country. The Hispanics have a dream and plan to take over with their numbers.
For all of the incredibly stupid people out there allow me to point out the insidious nature of La Raza and their use of the internet.
They teach their "People" how to enter, where to go and how to obtain services, employment and coach them on how to act. There is a conspiracy that involves spreading themselves out all over to hide their true numbers and potential threat. They do not like the cold but move north to make it too expensive to send them all the way back. When the traitor Bush grants them legal status we will see them flood to the southern states and choke out the Americans just like they have already done to Los angeles, San Diego, Laredo, Corpus Christi, El Paso, San Antonio ETC. ETC. -only twice as bad as now! The corruption in those cities as they bring their same destructive attitudes that have caused a very wealthy country like Mexico to crumble will occur again!
In answer to your question, the ones who are supporting the movement are almost always Hispanics we never should have allowed US citizenship in the first place! Their loyalty is to Mexico! They are just here to help facilitate the others to get in and increase their population.
Gracias for allowing me to be here GRINGOS!, Now I demand you allow me to get a visa to bring in my immidiate Family, and all of their Cousins and all of theirs and all of theirs-OH, and did we ever tell you that Vincinte allows us Dual Nationality so we can go home whenever we want?
ESTUPIDO GRINGOS!!!!

Oh Gosh! Are you serious Mr. "RAT" ??? You're hilarious! First of all ...yes I'm HISPANIC and extremely proud! My father is from Mexico, my mother from El Salvador....I was born here in this beautiful land: USA. I love my country very much! What I find so funny is the fact that you think that the illegal immigrants hoping to come into America are like spies who are secretly trying to take over America...and soon the world....oh yea and "us" Hispanics are secretly helping them.....oh and let me let you on a little secret: We are in connection with Al Queda too!! lol!!! How RIDICULOUS! Yea this "conspiracy" you speak of is some funny bull****!!! You also speak of potential threat....what freakin threat!!!??? My goodness...illegal immigrants are coming here to work....paying taxes....and getting cuts in their check so that they can pay for those bums welfare!!! Believe me....none of them have a secret agenda to secretly "take over" the U.S!!!
Another thing....I am from San Antonio....and I've got to tell you it is the most beautiful city! I've traveled ....and my position is still the same. Ask anyone who lives here or who has visited! Sure there is crime....but incase you haven't noticed.....crime exists EVERYWHERE! And those destructive attitudes you also speak of ....well I think you meant working attitudes.....an attitude that every bum on the street should have!!!
Let me remind you that I am from here and I love this country very much...I agree that we can't just let everyone enter our precious country....my only suggestion is that when you refer to those illegal immigrants that you research a bit more....hopefully you will realize that they're only here to work....
......you said it: ESTUPIDO GRINGO!!.....but by the way it's actually: GRINGO ESTUPIDO!!!
