I have ben summoned to serve as a trial juror and I just want to know do I have a choice at all on what kind of trial I get? I am not trying to get out of it but I don't feel comfortable with trials on killing or domestic abuse(do to personal reasons). Would I be obligated to still be on a trial that is related to those topics?

But then, how aren't environmental values Christian values? God wants us to care about the planet. So why is it that only Democrats seem to care and not so-called conservative Christian politicians? And while I'm pissed at the damage the Democrats have caused this country esp. the black community (moral decline, breakdown of the family, escalation in crime etc.) how are Republicans any better? It seems they only claim to be concerned about moral values, but their actions prove that they're all talk.

Kill five people with a home-made bomb in a cafe, you're a terrorist. Slaughter thirty people in an apartment building with a tank and you're a hero.

5. If the PNAC is responsible for a phony Iraq War to use it as a testing ground for the first test case for the PNAC shouldn't they all be held accountable for their actions. I feel that they should be turned over to the World Court in the Hague, Netherlands for crimes against humanity. If The Nazis were tried as War Criminals for acts against humanity after the Second World War, they are no different if they started the War in Iraq based on lies.

about whether someone happens to be gay or whether a woman makes the difficult choice to have an abortion? How does is impact them personally? Why do they have to impose their morals on others? In my mind it is simple, if you are oppsed to gay marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex. I just don't get why the Republicans have become zealots about issues that have no impact on them as individuals?

Some time ago my wife and i had some trouble trying to get help or direction from the american consulet in mexico, they where not americans running the office they where mexicans citizens, and had no plans of helping us in any way, i lived in mexico for almost 3 years and during that time in mexico city americans citizens living their had problems with them as well and it ended in broken windos and many angry people going to jail, and no they would not put it on american TV but it happend in 2001, no matter what is said on TV the bottom line is immigration makes their own rules as they go, and for every document you send in you only get to wait one more year per document, and if you come forward and say you did anything wrong you get even more punishment, especialy if shes latina, family unity is a bald face lie, i'm american with an approved I-130- and still looking at more years of waiting for what reason, distruction of familys is very very wrong, why is this allowed to contenue??

A lot of people are being rude and saying that the soldiers are just plain stupid going and risking their lifes in Iraq. I got into a lot of fights (not a kicking and hitting kid fights, and punching and bleeding adult fights when I'm only 11)about disagreeing with them. And I was thinking, if it leads to the hospital, should I agree with those people? Usually, I don't ask those kind of questions because I follow my heart, but I'm really serious about this. Who should I go with? My heart or jerks like that?

On these boards I have seen many requests for registered sex offenders in locales parents have just moved to. The problem with this thinking (and one that has been perpetutated by politicians and the media employing scare tactics) is that your child's greatest risk is from offenders who haven't been identified. The US Department of Justice shows that of all the 15,000 or so cases of child sexual abuse annually, only four percent are committed by people listed on the registry; the other 96 percent are "newbies" to the sex offender status. Another statistic is that the number of stranger snatching child numbers about 50 a year, compared to the above mentioned 15,000. A third statistic is that sex offenders, contrary to reported media statistics, have a recidivism rate of as low as 3.5 to a high of 20 percent. Not anywhere the 80 to 90 percent recidivism rate spouted by laymen often.

Parents, any comments?
