Man is basically flawed.... If you have ever had children you would know this.... children need to be taught to behave... misbehaving and being selfish come naturally.

People are what they are conditioned to be. Everyone is an empty blank book when they are born. What is written in those pages, especially in the early pages, shapes and creates the story of what will come to be on future pages.

So what you are taught from a very young age is your foundation on which your life is built.

That doesn't mean you can't rip that pen out of someone's hand and write your own book if the story isn't going the way you want it to....you can.

Personally I think everyone is born good. However not everyone is born whole. When something is broken right from the start it can't become fixed, so throughout it's life, much will depend on the care it gets.

All people are like that. If you become abused and hurt and all the good is pounded out of you..you just might crack and break and you might never be fixed again.

If you are raised like a wild animal then I supposed you would need restraining.

So that is a very complicated question with no real easy answer.

God says we're all born innocent. When he says suffer the children unto me...he means rather than corrupt them, send them to me. Unfortunately so many children are caught in corruption and war and are innocent and killed or maimed or ruined by it.

I was fortunate to have known a wonderful priest who was such a wonderful role model for our community. He believed that any child that was taught about God before the age of 7 would never stray from God....beyond that age, it would be impossible unless that person willed himself to believe. He was right in that it is a big struggle to pull someone back from the grip of evil if they were never taught these values from a young age.

It's a cruel world...there's no easy answers...but its also a good world too...you have to find the good in it and dwell in it and ignore the bad. Live by example...for the children's sake.

We are taught shame, we are not genetically predisposed to register shame. So, if we are taught shame, are we taught the causes of it as well, or are we naturally drawn to what we are not supposed to have, say , or do. Ultimately, I believe people are bad and given the opportunity, may become good.

They are good if they are caucasian or embrace caucasian culture and are politically conservative. Otherwise, they are 99% of the time, very bad if not evil. That is why OUR President Bush has a pre-emtive kill polcy to deal with non caucasians.
