The woman's question was NOT legitimate...
It is a RHETORICAL QUESTION (not to mention a poorly phrased one) of the liberal left, and is therefore in violation of Community Guidelines 1. 8. to vent your frustrations, rant, MAKE STATEMENTS, or otherwise violate the question and answer format.
Now to your question: I'm sure it IS dead among some conservatives.
Feminism and the liberal-left have made chivalrous behavior politically incorrect if not downright dangerous. Let us also recall that chivalry was part of a DUAL code... behaviors for both male and female.
I'm Republican and consider myself chivalrous and polite: I help the little old ladies with their groceries, I open doors and hold elevators, and I tip my hat and smile to all women/girls.
BUT if a woman wishes to enter the political debate... I will NOT merely smile and shake my head... because ALL should be educated well enough to phrase a question... and if their query is a statement... stand-by-to-stand-by woman !!

No it is not, But your link is not a "legimate" question but a rant with no sources or links to back up the statement. How about the questions about "Laura Bush being ugly, and something about Bush in a flight suit, that was asked earlier. You see there are extremes on both sides and no need in defending extremism. I see that the left thinks that bashing is good and defending is bad (of the president) Both sides need to agree to disagree and stop the troll questions and talk real issues.

I'm not a fan of our President, but her question wasn't a question, it was a statement and she posted no info to support that statement other than to say he isn't aware of anything. I will say this in her defense. I have seen many a republican office holder say they were not aware of negative information or they did not read some report or other. It does seem to be a common defense to avoid answering some legitimate questions. Miss Rice uses it all the time by saying I'm not going to answer hypothetical questions. Cheney is also guilty, when asked what will happen if we are not greeted as liberators, his response was, we will be. So much for forward thinking.

Conservatives have NEVER believed in chivalry. Their bottom line is and always has been money...bigger and better profits. Anything that gets in the way of that WILL be stepped on!

1. It was not a legitimate question... it wasn't factual and was disrespectful by it's nature.
2. None of the responses were un-chivalrous.
3. Yours is a poor excuse to get a stupid question ask twice.

Let me ask you this...
If a female were to say something bad about a Democrat, would you say something respectful? Be honest now...no you wouldn't.
(Tune of "Yesterday" by the Beatles)Hypocrisy...all things are good if they apply to me...like the right that we call speech that's free...say what you want, but not 'bout me...

A major part of Chivalry is a great appreciation, and love of, women. Conservatives hate women and their sexuality, so it's only logical that the longer conservatives are around the less chivalry there will be.
