When I as in the Army in the 80s, a high school drop out with a criminal record could join. (not me btw, I was MI)

I liked this concept because it gave unprivileged persons that had made mistakes in life a chance for a career and education.

Now, they are not allowed... well since Reagan.

So, say today there was a draft, it appears to me all the 'rejects' would be sitting at home while the qualifying ones for a better society would be sent to war.

Do rules change during a draft or am I wrong?

Dont take me wrong. I understand why America is hated for Iraq, i dont like the war either but there is nothing i can do about it. My question is why does the world hate the average American citizen so much over Iraq yet the world doesnt hold Britain to the same standards? Its as if they ignore the fact that Britain is in a sense as much to blame for this as well. They sent their military into Iraq alongside of Americas
Why is Bush so hated yet Blair is not as hated? They both are just as guilty for this war. I have read posts from people in England on these boards and other places on the internet where they call it "Americas War" and "American war mongers". Isnt that kinda being hypocritical? Why do they ignore the fact that their government and military didnt hesitate for one minute in charging into Iraq with America?

My sister's husband's brother who is very addicted to crack and god knows what else calls my house at all hours of the day and night on the telephone. I have contacted the police about it, but they told me that since his name and phone number are somehow blocked on my caller id I have no proof and can't do anything about it. I know it's him because we had this problem with him before and I called the police and it stopped for a while, but he is back dong it again. I tried to contact the Verizon telephone company but being the weekend noone is there. Also tomorrow is Christmas so noone will be there either. I have taken the phone off the hook but I need to talk on it sometime. I don't know his phone number because he somehow blocks it when he calls here. I tried the *57 trace thing after he calls but that does not work either. Even if I did know his phone number I don't know what numbers to push on the telephone to block my name and number on his caller ID. any ideas would help

All people around the world have to read about the real Islam before judging Islam and accusing the Muslims of being terrorism, also not to forget that bad policy acting’s against some countries will encourage terrorism, even it is not the proper way to take your rights by hurting innocent people by anyway.

Well if anybody does have that prepaid legal service with the card along with is also, then I was wondering how much to you pay montly or yearly and what are the advantages and diadvantages of having that card? Does it really work? How many times can you use that card? Tell me the whole nine yards and I will give my best answer to that person.

How one tenth of the top 1% could use their clout and resources for the sole purpose of financing their legacy on our backs is absurd!! Sitting here and watching the madman penalize our entire American Legacy is as painful as a kidney stone expungement. If you dissect this policy in Iraq and try and fit yourself into in it--please save your effort and just give up unless of course you have financial assets beyond the means of most and can afford to invest in the ludicracy---I know it's the American way, but there's got to be a better way to go about it!!

I know looking back dosen't help, BUT all the cut backs they did with the Military really made a "Big Shortage" and all for money. It basically gave a bright view of our butts....Now they are asking for help?? explain this to me.....

Now one arguement is they got rid of the loafers...but I know they also got rid of a lot of good people who were tagged not to re enlist...they lost all benefits..retirement and very few given a severance...but that was only 20,000 ...One guy with 16 1/2 yrs excellent service record SGT in the Army....

God is wll aware that He/She/ That is God, and acts so: with comlplete liberty. Ignorant people are what they are, and often act so, sometimes in public places, amoungst their kin and friends.
