How one tenth of the top 1% could use their clout and resources for the sole purpose of financing their legacy on our backs is absurd!! Sitting here and watching the madman penalize our entire American Legacy is as painful as a kidney stone expungement. If you dissect this policy in Iraq and try and fit yourself into in it--please save your effort and just give up unless of course you have financial assets beyond the means of most and can afford to invest in the ludicracy---I know it's the American way, but there's got to be a better way to go about it!!

The majority of Americans will either gain nothing from this war or they will be harmed by some unintended consequence of it. Last week, polls showed that only 11-17% of Americans support sending more troops to Iraq, but it is likely that this is precisely what Bush will be doing early in the year. Although the voters have empowered the Democrats in Congress, the Executive still commands the military.

The government has been hijacked, vital checks and balances have been erased, and the only people who gain are a small group of power-hungry, Israel loving, neocon political operatives, certain multinational corporations, their officers and large investors.

It most assuredly is NOT the American way it is however the Bush way this is one of the things he has been working for all along the privatization of Iraqi oil will look legitimate but in reality it will be controlled by Bush and his cronies from behind the scenes he will then use that to break OPEC and force them to deal on favorable terms with his buddies I would also guess that he intends to start a war soon with Iran " looking for weapons of mass destruction " once he has control of that area he will have control of a large part of the worlds oil supply thus giving them power that could end up not only destroying the American way of life and freedom but also make him a potential world dictator !

It's no different than an animal in the forest, trying to survive. The animal must eat another animal if vegetation doesn't cut it. Survival of the fittest.

I don't agree with your assessment, and I know I could never change your mind of grand conspiracies and paranoia.

Therefore, get with the program or go where the Utopians live.

If they get that far it could be the end of this country. We can only hope the Democrats have the Cohones to impeach Bush/Cheney before they destroy what is left.

usual clintonspeak...ok ..LAST TIME LIBERALS...this wasnt about oil...it was about wmd and the gassing of kurds by saddam. this whole idea of the little man getting screwed is getting tired and boring. two sectors of iraq have already been turned over and more are to follow. you already got the "razor thin" margin mandate and change is coming...move on.

Fantasy World.
We will never get one single drop of free oil from Iraq.
Don't want it.
Don't need it.
The USA gives. Never takes.
If you were a citizen of the USA, you would know that.
You have been victim of terrorist propaganda. They started the "all about oil" conspiracy.
