Interesting question. While in college (graduated in 1971), I noticed that some professors definitely were lecturing more than what was described in the course outline. Even at that time I began "filtering" the flow of information.

To say that the Soviet Union was successful in gaining control of our universities is hard to imagine, but is certainly possible on a smaller scale. I am sure individuals have joined our schools of higher learning as "moles" for the other side.

One thing is for certain. Now that Russia is a more manageable size and can be governed better than the giant U.S.S.R., their objectives are still the same. The wall and the iron curtain came down, but the game goes on in it's modern form. The rules of play have changed, of course, and appearances have been altered.

Sure, the old Soviets are still visible, and why wouldn't they be in our universities?

No, higher education has had a liberal, socially conscious bias since the 1700s, and Communism is taught as a bad thing, even though anyone with a discerning mind would view it as a matter of perspective. The Red Scare was BS, and its over, there are no evil, scary commies trying to kill the American way.

Considering that 99.5% of Russian have university education compared only to 46.4% of Americans, and that 42% of Russians have masters comp[ared to 11.3% of Americans that's a thing to think about... plus Russia was able to get up from a depression much faster that USA had, and now their economy grows at stunning 9.3% compared to 4% of ours!!!!
