First off, you have my respect and support if you come here legally. It's nice to see that there are some honest people in this world.

Please try to get a work visa first. That would probably be your best bet. Bring as much money as you can. I will say that California is one of the most expensive places you could possibly live. I would try Arizona or Texas.

There are plenty of jobs available to you, my friend.

Best of luck, and we're glad to have you here.

You have to get a work visa to work here, and they will ask you to have a job already. You need to contact prospective employers (try Monster.com or some such) and get a sponsor. It is a hassle on both sides, unfortunately, because our immigration laws are so abused by illegals that everyone is very sensitive to the subject.

You could also try the diversity lottery if you are from a country that is in that lottery. Since it is precisely to give opportunity to those countries where immigration is lower here, Mexico and some other countries with tons of immigrants here are not included in the lottery.

Good luck!

It depends on where you are from. Contact the U.S. embassy in your country and apply for a work visa. Don't move to New Jersey or California though those places have no work. Go to Nevada, Las Vegas has more Jobs than people. Make sure you learn the language well enough to follow instructions. In Vegas contact the Culinary Workers Union they have an excellent Naturalization program. Talk to a man named D. Taylor tell him Ed-Mike referred you to him.

You need to secure a visa first. That can take many months if not longer. Bring as much money as you can. Immigrants can find a job here. That is why so many of them come here.

You have to apply for a work visa from US Embassy and that may take long but it can be the best way to legally work in USA, but there are many other States in US for you to work.
