Its not that they do not have a passport, the problem is getting a visa stamp to visit the united states has too many restrictions and requirements

Passport are relatively easy to get but they won't necessarily get you in to the country legally. To do that Mexicans would need visas and work permits both are becoming quite hard to get.

most of them can not come to us legally because of the strict reqs they must fulfill in order to qualify for visas.For safety reasons they prefer to sneak into the country illegally rather than choosing the legal and proper way. Due to those rules, a very few foreigners manage to qualify every year. this is another reason for them being discouraged to come in the country legally

Along with the passport, they need to get a visa permitting them to enter the united states. Its not easy to get that.

Next time why don't you ask a Mexican. They need paperwork to even step foot on American soil. They need visas, work permits, and a whole mess load of other paperwork. Get a clue!

You really need to be in their shoes to understand the real thing... you don't know how poor they are and how much you pay to come... you just don't go inside and say my children is dying and I need a visa... my dad brother was a citizen and it took him more than 10 years to bring my dad and than a year to bring me... with papers... go and see the real picture is in every stop of a bus, pleople get inside and sell things... kids do that, mom's with babies, and a lot more...
