Make our education system (schools) better. Get more kids into Math and Science and away from Rockford Fosgate and Playstation III. They will grow up to be american engineers who can make better QUALITY american products. This better quality will lead to increased purchases. By the way, I personally buy american products. My socks, underwear, and cheese is made right here, baby!

I buy american where there is a reasonable option, and stretch the point at cars to buy american, anyhow.
But what is the use when American companies start outsourcing to other countries and I can't tell if my Ford was built in Detroit or Mexico?
These corporations see themselves as global citizens and have no right to American loyalty. I cling to it for the American employees they still have...

Sadly I agree with you, the other countries can make some many things cheaper and the people want to save money. I do try and buy American made products, but sometimes have to go cheap with other items.??????

the problem is not necessarily the average Americans fault its our own trade policy's that have undermined the American worker in favor of Corporations that are allowed to have venture run capital over seas where they employee low wage workers , and still charge the same price at the stores when Americans were doing the job..the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I always try to buy American made first. The stuff is out there, you just have to find it. Once you have, be sure to tell anyone else who may be looking for that item (or even if they're not looking, yet!).

The only things left that we make are high tech weapons, Pop-Tarts, Wonder Bread and pissy beer. As Jesse Jackson once said, "We ain't Makin what the people buyin". Thank your corporate bean counter mentality for that.

>>Whats the best way to get americans?.....to buy american made products.<<
American made products sell well when they are competitive. Without competition nothing will sell.

"We the People" is being turned into "We the Corporation" this has happened before but last time we just threw the tea off the ships. It is to bad we have to wait for everyone to feel it in their pocketbook before the people get their country back from the Corporatist that put profit before people.
