i live in oakland, not a very safe place, my cars have had their tires, deck, battery jacked in differnt times, my house has been robbed once, and once was an attempt, my neighboor's house got robbed twice in the past month and a half, i am scared of my safety, should i get a gun? my only concern is if i have a gun and they have a gun, then its all bad, or if somehow they got my gun. so should i get a gun? im tired of these ppl jacking everyones stuff

Canada has double the percentage of immigrants as the USA. Canada is more liberal towards refugee claimants, too, and most Canadian immigration officers at its borders ask far fewer questions of arrivals. It's southern border is far less patrolled and fenced than the USA's with Mexico. So why is it that Canada does not suffer the same or greater degree of problem of having massive numbers of illegal immigrants as does the USA?

I am the single mother of a 4 year old daughter. She has been raised since birth by my mother and myself. She's never had regulated visitation with her birth father and he only sees her once every 2-3 months and pays no child support. He does not have a stable job, car , or home. I was offered a job with KBR which will give me the oppurtunity to provide well for my family (my mother and daughter). I would have to work in Iraq for a year but i can come visit every 120 days. I plan to give my mom a power of attorney for the care of my daughter. If my daughter's father wanted to be a jerk and take my daughter from my mom, could he? Im afraid of that happening especially since my daughter is only used to living with my mom and myself?? What legal steps can I take to keep this from happening???

It finally happened-I received a summons for jury duty. Does anyone know any ways to get out of it? I was thinking of sending a letter stating financial hardship. I make little money, my boss doesn't pay for jury duty, and I'm a full time student. I didn't think I'd be summoned this young(I'm 22). It's not that I don't want to go-I really can't afford to go to jury duty.PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey, below are three questions it would be awesome if you could answer, even just one or two. Thanks!!!

1.)If a country that is suppose to be your ally goes against its own policy and proposes a resolution that your true nations policy would reject, what should you do? Do you retain your alliance and sacrifice your policy, or do you hold on to your policy and sacrifice what should have been a alliance in the eyes of the committee? What is more important in terms of accuracy: your alliances or your actual written policy?

2.)If it is impossible to have your country's ideal policy pass in a resolution, how much of it should be comprimised? Is it correct to sacrifice a large amount of what your country wants in order to secure the remainder of it?

3.)If a delagate from another country openly slanders your country and your country's policy, how do you react?

where do you think he's from?

I think he's either someone who's life was wrecked by a prostitue & he's on a derranged crusade or an unknown from america.

my deep sympathies of course go to the families involved.
People who're already having a rough time of it; it's a shame that they are made vulnerable in this way. I opposed institutionalised prostitution as an idea but that is definitely preferable to having street walkers at risk like this.

If you are pulled over for a minor traffic violation, would the police be able to search your vehicle if you told them not to? How can you prevent the officers from searching if you do not want them to?
