She said she would pay me $1000.00 U.S. by August, but is being paying a little at a time, so far she still ows me 600.00 but acts as if she don't need to pay. Is being over a month since she hastn't pay anything. She signed a paper with a witness for the debt, is it enough proof to sue her?

I live in Atlanta, Georgia.

he couldn't distance himself fast enough, said it was full of fiction, lies, and a direct attempt to rewrite history. Why did Carter do it? did he not think it would be challenged?

why dont more americans petition there gov,t to ease up on pot laws ? the reason it hasnt been legalized in canada is because of the presser from the american gov,t (and of course are gov,t gives in) think of the jail space if all minor pot offenders wer released from prison think of the money the police dept would save not wasting time busting the guy sitting in his house smokeing a doobie.

So, since some of you were confused by my last question, what I am saying is that I always have considered them the same.

BUT on here, some differentiate. Someone said that Bill Clinton was a Democrat but not a Liberal. Some claim to be Liberals (not Democrats). Aren't they all the same?

Firstly, please use an intelligent reason behind you answer. I would like to add (without supporting one answer over another) that the recent election is not a very good support for an answer, as it was more a repudation of the handling of the war in Iraq.

Secondly, I realize many hold to a moderate, or centrist viewpoint. But the question is about which is held to more in modern America, a typical liberal or typical conservative mindset.

The one who supports their reasoning best, in their own words, will win.

I understand enlisting is pure voluntary these days but how can Bush ask Americans to enlist or encourage others to enlist if he hasn't been able to encourage his own children to fight the war he is so proud of?

Come to think of it not many in Washington who are pushing this war have children or family in Iraq. I believe last quote I heard was 2 had family members in Iraq. That is sad considering how they are all gung ho to send other peoples family out to fight for THEM.......
Maybe I am in the minority but shouldn't the government officials who are pushing this war first push it with their family and encourage them before the rest of the US?
This is supposed to be for a good cause so I would think political families like the Presidents would be the first to show their support by wearing the uniform of the military (any branch).

Guess my children will have to defend the Bush family since they cant actively support the war they start.

I just finished Jimmy Carter's troubling and controversial book. I know there's a storm of criticism, but before making up my mind, I have a few factual questions:

1. Were there, at one time, 1.3 million Palestinians in Gaza along with approximately eight thousand Israeli settlers? Did these Israeli settlements use about 40% of the arable land and 50% of the water supply?

2. Are there Israeli settlements in the West Bank connected to Jerusalem or other points in Israel by highways through Palestinian territory that the Palestinians are forbidden to use, or perhaps even to cross? Does this fragment the West Bank?

3. Has the U.S. used its Security Council veto approximately 40 times in support of Israel, sometimes standing alone with Israel against the rest of the world? Can you give an example?

I see Democrats as being more middle of the road, but you all differentiate between the two and I am not getting it.

Liberals seem more left wing.

Republicans are more right.

Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Michael Steele, Bill Cosby and Clarence Thomas are people who should be role models. But all you ever see are the liberals. Why is it that the media only recognize a direct handout as help? Why is it that a truly helpful message, a work ethic to live by is not viewed as helpful? What is dignified about a handout?
