in the entire war and not a battle...i believe the insurgents have beaten the US military!!! now i think the superpower status of the US is doubtful and not worthy of receiving it after such a humiliation!!! i mean the US military is helpless....they dont know where to look.....the US troops are like lambs being brought into the slaughter house!!! boy if the US continues in this path.....US will lose all respect from other nations and seen as weak and might be the start of the end of american imperialism!!!! its just going to get worse and worse and eventually spread to american land!!! why dont bush nuke iran?

caciansf- well the 'good old days' are over...that was in the 20th century.....this is the 21st century and end of american imperialism....america has used full force and still not good enough....u gotta wonder why ppl even call the US a superpower....right now they are made to look like a powderpuff power!!!!

Glen, no one cares what you believe. We continue but we are not even close to beaten. Soon the rules of engagement will be loosened & then the real fight begins. Our soldiers have been forced to fight with one hand behind their back to "play nice" for the bleeding hearts but I think the turn in the situation will allow the military to be able to change that. I have always been in favor of the big glass field but my son, an Army Ranger says we can win this war if allowed to use the weapons & training they have received. Sometimes unfortuantely innocents are accidently killed, but a few innocents are better than half the country. Because, that is who will die if we leave now.

First of all if the military was allowed to open fire at will and actually fight the war still like they were in the beginning then we would still have more than half of our soldiers with us who have been killed. My husband was there with 3ID and the Iraqi's were scared. The minute Bush announced end of major combat then the rules changed. We were no longer there for combat and our soldiers began being attacked and not allowed to fight back. If we went in there with the fury we had in the start then the whole thing would turn around but now that would cause too many civillian deaths and Bush won't let us do it.

You are right in a way because we are not using the full might of our military. You need to understand countries like Japan who was beat into submission by the U.S. back in the 40's are now powerless.
The U.S. is not for whatever reason using the power it used when we tought Japan a lesson that they will never forget . And the rest of the world. We seem to be fighitng with one arm tied behind our backs thanks to the political correctness of this conflict.
If we fought the way we did back in the 'good old days' this war would have been over in three weeks.
