A million people died and the man who had control of the most powerful army in the world said nothing. He didnt send any troops in, he didnt deal with the UN. My question is why?

I'm curious to what is counted as a concealed weapon. I know the whole gun and large knife part but could small things like pocket knives count? Is there any place that lists this?

"Panel blasts Hastert in Foley scandal"

Yet it writes in the first paragraph

Republican lawmakers and aides failed for a decade to protect male pages from sexual come-ons by former Rep. Mark Foley (news, bio, voting record) — once described as a "ticking time bomb" — BUT THEY BROKE NO RULES and should not be punished, the House ethics committee concluded Friday.

Note the nasty headline against Republicans, yet they broke no rules.

There was already a problem in New York City because of something like that, shouldn't all congressmen have to go through security in the House office buildings like everyone else?

He woke up this morning and:

* did not tell me we should "cut and run" in Iraq
* did not attempt to use courts to support gay marriage
* did not propose new taxes
* did not impose on my freedom by regulating my behavior

I think the dems should run him in '08 if he's still ticking.

They tried to assassinate Fidel Castro 800 times. They designed their intelligence infra-structure purely to spy on the U.S.S.R. And they fought the Korean and Vietnam wars purely to stop the spread of communism. Serious answers only please. Any smart aleck responses will have no, I repeat, no chance at the 10.

Given that Canada has birthright citizenship, have any U.S. citizen couples - on both sides, father and mother - decided to have their child in Canada? Are there any particular difficulties in doing so? What about costs? Hospital care? Just a question of going to the nearest? Any problems beyond the obvious?

He was against abortion, willing to defend marriage between 1 man and 1 woman, and supported gun rights?

These seem to be the 3 things that make him a liberal.

Do I understand right that only military people that actually die IN Iraq are counted and not contractors or guys who die in military hospitals in Germany.

More specifically, this is not a situation where the emigrant is already here. My situation is getting my wife out of Eastern Europe (Moldova) and here into the United States. We were married in May of this year (2006), and I am wondering if perhaps engaging the services of an immigration lawyer would expedite the process. And of course, since I was born at night but not last night, I'm not naive to the extent that I would simply approach one of their cages and ask them!

This article basically says someone who needs constant dialysis but is here illegally may not be able to get us to pay for it any more, absent an emergency. Her husband says it isn't fair because they come to work 'not to take advantage', but regular dialysis is hardly cheap and one doubts their taxes cover it. They are thinking of moving to a different state that doesn't have such an 'unfair' law. If the law is passed nationwide, we are cautioned, they will have no choice but to go back across the border.

So are we supposed to think the law making this change is bad, or effective, and a really good idea? The author seems to think we will think the law is bad, given that they may end up having to go back across the border.

I don't see it that way.

What do you think?
