He was against abortion, willing to defend marriage between 1 man and 1 woman, and supported gun rights?

These seem to be the 3 things that make him a liberal.

Being from Upstate NY, the part that sends all the money and water downstate to NYC, I don't like him, BUT if Chavez or any other puffed up clown came in and called him names, I expect he'd give them the finger and tell them where to go, which is the better response, you decide. I don't care about abortion, I'm not sleeping around on my wife or using abortion because I was too lazy or stupid to use birth control. If I was a racist, looking at statistics, I should be all in favor of it. My theory is women who have too many abortions end up being that crazy old lady with no family and lots of cats who call the police twice a night because someone is watching her. Yup maybe I'll get reported, again, but it's my freedom of speech to think it or say it. IN NYC it's popular to blame guns for the crimes instead of criminals who wield them, in upstate it could be a half hour or more before the cops arrive, you're on your own, better to risk jail than be murdered in your own home. That's why criminals want guns outlawed, so they're the only ones who have them. And for all I care you can marry anyone you want, man, woman, 1 or 50, animal or inanimate object, but remember seperation of church and state doesn't give the government the right to order any church to bless what their scripture says is wrong.

Guiliani may have a better chance if he was pro-life, and supported a strict marriage interpretation, but the other problem was his messy divorce, which a lot of Catholics and moral-right conservatives won't support either. He supports gun control, but that won't break the nomination for him.

If a conservative like Romney or Allen were to win the nomination, I think there is a good chance Rudy would be the VP candidate. Otherwise, I think he will not be on the national ticket (although I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a cabinet position).

He took a NYC which was a criminal haven and economic wreck and revived it through strong law enforcement and good economic programs.

now to not indicate he has been divorced at 2 or 3 situations! he's a likable guy yet come on, i'm slightly disillusioned interior the Republicans not having all of their geese in row understanding that, thank God, that yet another Bush can not be elected in 2008! And as a sidenote, polls do not advise diddly squat. as we talk this is too early. a lot can ensue between now or maybe as the wide-spread season begins early next 365 days.

Guiliani would be a strong republican candidate but I think everyone agrees McCain would be stronger. He has many liberal friends and in recent times has rebuilt bridges with the far right--bridges that he burned earlier in his career.

Not so fast.He is an open Republican with a real mind and hart who cares for people .Is not a simple "Cowboy" with macho manners and minus zero attitude. However, the problem is Rudy is Italian ( Brooklyn, yeah) and never will be a President in USA with Italian last name.We never had and never will.Is a shame.

Let me surmise...
Against abortion.
Defend marriage. (1 man 1 woman).
Supports gun rights.
These 3 things make him a LIBERAL?
Do you know what Liberal and Conservative are?
You need to check your facts about Rudy. You are very wrong on his positions.

A horrible person! very arrogant, and thinks very highly of himself.
McCain would be a much better choice. Even Democrats would vote for McCain. I certainly would vote for him over Hillary!
