As high as is necessary:
we need healthn insurance for all
We need to pay off our debt caused by BUSH
we need to feed and shelter the homeless
We need to enhance internal security including ports
We need to protect the earth from global warming
SO our taxes should go as high as necessary ,especially taxing the rich by closing all those crazy loopholes... a. s. s. ho le..lol

I love answers that are pure speculation based not on any real facts but instead on outdated political party drivel.
I think that the current administration has done two things one is to raise the debt to new unthought of highs for a war that it just so happens to be something that they profit from financially AND THEN established tax cuts for the top 3% of the population so they and their business partners could keep thier profits.
I know Kerry wanted to reverse those tax cuts and limit further spending. I hope taxes are not raised for the middle and lower classes and I dont think they would be but at the same time someone will eventually have to pay for the incessent spending by this war profiteering administration.
I think there are things far worse than socialism and that is facism. Socialistic ideas at least have the people in mind. Social Security is a socialistic idea as would be national health care plan. Fascism is what is going on in this country with the current administration and that isnt for anyone but the corporation and the shareholders. Socialism is not communism and fascism is not capitalism.

Taxes wouldn't have to be raised if Bush would have kept the budget balanced instead of deficit spending which put this country even further in debt to countries like China.

Only as high as it takes to cover all s*** the republicans fu**** up for us. I believe the last time we had a SURPLUS instead of a HUUUGGGGEEE DEFICET was the last time a Dem was in office. Did any one hear the report.....400 million which WILL exceeded a TRILLION by the time it's done?? Tell me how awful the Demorats are again????
