Whats the formula for extracting GST from a bill. X=106, whats the rest? help!!!!!!?

I'm not quite sure if this is what you are asking but here it goes.
GST is 6% on every $1.00
$1.00 x 6% = $1.00 + .06 = $1.06

$10.00 x 6% = $10.00 + .60 = $10.60
