Yes you can. If your 42 Im sure that you will need to be in excellent physical condition though. You should contact your area's recruiter. Speaking 3 languages is a great credential and there are many positions in the army where that is usefull.

Another good option if the army isnt your thing is the F.B.I. If you speak more than one language and have a college degree chances are you will get a job.

It is nice to know that there are people willing to defend freedom sir and I thank you.

Maybe, but if not, you should look into becoming a civilian contractor for the government...to find out more about joining the military, you should talk to a recruiter or check out the website of the branch you are interested in...good luck

The military just raised the age limit for enlistment into the 40s. More than likely or work as a civilian translator for the military in iraq.

You're a bit long in the tooth to begin active service, aren't you? If your other languages are, say, Arabic and Farsi, I bet the DIA would kiss your feet as a civilian contractor.

anyone can...the government is letting people ''try it out" by joining for only a year for free and if you don't like it you can quit, its a win win for all ,if you do quit you can apply the skills you have into the work force and if you do choose to stay you'll probably do relief work but you won't be at the front line

Depends on the shape you are in. Go talk to a recruiter. They might need you to carry a gun in Iraq. They might give you a waiver.
