Please excuse me for being rude but why do you have to go back to India when the best school are here in U.S. If you can't afford universities, you can start your first 2-years in a community college, if you are planning to get a 4-year course and have difficulty financing you tuition, there are a lot of scholarship opportunity around (check websites). You can also avail of federal student loans.

How long have you been in U.S? Permanent residents have certain time frame allowed to be out of the U.S. until they are considered to have abandoned their intention of living in the U.S., and I think beig out of the U.S. for 4 years is a long time. You may want to check the U.S. immigration website to get full details (www.uscis.gov). There may be a chance that you will be considered out of status and your permanent residency can be taken away.

Your being out of the country for quite sometime may affect your qualification for U.S. citizenship in case you intend to be one. You need 30 months complete U.S. residence (meaning, without going out of the U.S.) of the 5-year requirement.

Again, check the website I previously mentioned.

I hope that helps.
