Your thoughts on your prior militairy chaplains. Websites and Email address where i could get in touch with some one who knows or get more info would be GREAT thank you

Are we putting to much political capital in celebrities? In most cases they are not really any more knowledgable than the average Joe on the street.

I have noticed that in a war when the U.S people are patriotic the war is more successfull but if the people are not supporting the war or are angry about it the war is not very successfull. For example in WW2 when the U.S and Japan faced of the U.S was actually weaker in the beginning and then they eventually gained the upper hand because of the patriotism of the people. But the Japanese people were dissapointed of the war and did not support their goverment. In the Vietnam war the U.S was not ver patriotic as people and the war was somewhat of a failure. The Gulf War was not that controversial because people wanted to protect Kuwait and it was a success. And do not get me started on the Iraq War.In the beginning people supported it and the U.S crushed Saddam's forces. Now is some sort of mess where people run around throwing bombs.Does the patriotism of the people effect the outcome of a battle that much?

Is it possible to join the Navy after High School, do a certain enlisted career, and have a high paying job after? I was thinking of trying to do Mechanical and Industrial in the Navy. After, can I go work as an aircraft mechanic for an Airline like American Airlines or Continental Airlines in the civilian life?

Such as what we have seen in Guantanamo Bay. They can be kept there for an undetermined amount of time without being charged. Isn't that against human rights ? And no, before you ask, I do not tolerate terrorism. But isn't it supposed to be innocent unless proven guilty ?

Bush seems to use the Military as campaign props for his political speeches and as a political shield that you can’t challenge his agenda because you are not patriotic and you don’t support the troops. I still can’t figure out how Bush Backers STILL think that Saddam was the Mastermind of the 911 attacks. Someone help me understand this…

I wonder what mine looks like?

"Virtually every person entering and leaving the United States by air, sea or land is scored by the Homeland Security Department's Automated Targeting System, or ATS. The scores are based on ATS' analysis of their travel records and other data, including items such as where they are from, how they paid for tickets, their motor vehicle records, past one-way travel, seating preference and what kind of meal they ordered."

The creepy part is that they will supply this rating to agencies determining permits or licenses, or to private employers, apparently, but you can't apply to see your own.

What do you think?

The college I attend has an internship office and has an application for internships. In Florida, all school districts have the right to obtain information regarding sealed arrests. The college wants all students to fill out a application for internship that asks if you have "ever been arrested?" My question is, how should I handle the fact that I have a sealed arrest with no criminal conviction that the school district can know about but in actuality the college does not have the right to know about? My worry is that if I release the information to the college office (i.e., court papers) that it could get misplaced or otherwise cause me problems in the future. However, if I object to answering the question it could cause a concern. What would be the recommended course of action?

I'm doing this for a project. I tried searching for it on the internet and I've got this book from the school library that doesn't help much. It's a Criminal Manual, 1995. I know there are such laws, but I can't find them. Umm, Canadian law, and the consequences for stealing others' identity, though I'm not sure if this varies from province. Thanks!

Regan did the amnesty thing in 1986, and as we see now, it did not work. It was going to be the one time fix, for the illegal immigration problem, and now 20 years later, look at the mess we have. So for those that have said, give them amnesty in some cases, why will it work now ?
