Write a letter to your brother and request a reply, it is the best way to know his situation. If not, visit him in his area of assignment.

You can in fact call the Red Cross and ask for a Health and Welfare check. Since you're immediate family they will probably do this for you. They won't tell you where he is or for how much longer, but they'll tell you if he's alive or not.
If he's not deployed and you know what base and unit he's in, you could try contacting his command and asking them.
At the very least, assume no news is good news. If you don't hear that something terrible has happened, figure that he's okay.
We have a similar situation with my BIL right now, I'm sorry to hear there's more psycho-wives like this out there.

Go ahead and send the red cross message. I have seen this used many times to initiate communication with service members. His command will force him to make contact, and it will have no negative impact on his career. Call the red cross give his name and his unit. They will contact the unit and the unit will have him contact you. If you don't wan tto go that route you can call his unit yourself. Either way you have to know his unit. Other ways are out there you just have to get in touch with him and not his wife. Like other peope have already said you can write a letter, search for his email, guess his email...i.e. firstname.lastname@us.army.mil / firstname.mi.lastname@us.army.mil
call his house, cell number, or even go there.
Good Luck
DO NOT GIVE ANYONE ON YAHOO ANSWERS HIS OR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. NO MATTER HOW GOOD THIER INTENTIONS MIGHT BE YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO.

It doesn't have to be an emergency to call the Red Cross for help. They might be able to find him, then give him your information and then he would handle it from there, if he wanted to. Good luck with your search.
If you want me to try and do a search on him, please send me his full name and birthdate, where he was last stationed and such, and I can try for you with some of the resources I have.

Is he married? Do you know where he is stationed or who he is with? Those things could help you get started.
