Is it possible to join the Navy after High School, do a certain enlisted career, and have a high paying job after? I was thinking of trying to do Mechanical and Industrial in the Navy. After, can I go work as an aircraft mechanic for an Airline like American Airlines or Continental Airlines in the civilian life?

Enter the Navy and be assigned in the Aircraft Department. Study aeronautical engineering or try to be a pilot. After mastery of jobs in military aviation, yo can switch to American Airlines or other airlines.

GO NAVY! Yes you can accomplish all that you seek. Once you join, you may even like it!! Military service, no matter what branch, will prepare you for the rest of your life. You;ll grow up in a hurry. You will have some lonely days, and some fun times too! Go for it! I rode submarines for 5 years. Man, if you want out of the house, just do it! You wont regret doing, and have a lot of experiences that you wouldn't get workin in a warehouse!

Yes, this is very possible... Your best bet is to join as any rate that starts with an "A"... AE, AM, AT... You could get a job as an aircraft mechanic with other rates, but those particular rates work with our Navy aircraft...

yes, you can... I would suggest taking as many classes as you can, getting a degree... and working to make a higher rank. Follow through on the Navy slogan "Accelerate your Life" ... enjoy your time, grow and become a man, I think you will find that the skills you learn from the Navy will be with you forever... good luck

Yes, I think you could. I would also suggest that you try to work on a college career while in the service so you can become an officer and do even better.

Proud of you.
