I am a care worker. Today I have been on an early shift. One of my clients had slept in her glasses, earing-aid and denture. The problem with this lady is that she had had an ulcer due the fact she would sleep in her earing-aid. I have reported on this many times, but the managment team would simply not listen to me. Another client has complain about cold today, for he had been woken up in the morning only to be left in his shirt (no socks on either) in the middle of the lounge (today I have had to put socks on everybody). And Mr. Thomas, another resident, has slept in his last night's dirty underpants (the clean ones had been left kicked to the side in his bed but one of the Home's managers had told me not to put it down in the report). I am scared, really, and I really do not know what to do. Though I am a first degree holder in Philosophy, I would not ask for qualifications in order to do this kind of job, but I do think a Home manager should have some kind of qualifications.

Oil prices went down considerably just before the election, presumably to help the Republicans, now that the election is over the price is going up again.

Does anyone know why their basic training is easy? I've watched a video and it looks like a summer vacation to Disney. Being so easy, a good service to join?

Pointing out the personal flaws and social faux pas of individuals associated with a political party to diss the policies and political views of the Party itself?
Think of it this way, if you put 80 flies in a jar of honey and one moves toward the lid, does that mean they're all thinking of escape? For the time being I've grown weary of pointing out how incredibly inane and moronic it is to take personal low-blows and insults and try to turn them into social or political commentary. So I've decided to ask a somewhat intelligent question, that is as non-offensive as I can possibly make it w/o dumbing it down or seeming condescending.

Alltel is currently blocking it's users from dialing any of the known free 411 numbers.... this forces us to use their version of 411 which is very expensive and makes money for them....

When I called them and asked them about it... they said that they had blocked all calls to any number that they were aware of that offered this service.

They claim it was regulated under the FCC and fell under the same category as blocking collect calls and 900 numbers. I think these two things are different because both can potentially cost Alltel money...

FREE 411 does not cost ALLTEL money...FREE 411 makes their money because before you get your number, you have to listen to advertisements... they charge people to advertise with them... That's why it is free...

IT IS NOT LEGAL TO FORCE SOMEONE TO SHOP WHERE THEY DON'T WANT TO SHOP... THIS IS FORCING YOU TO USE THEIR SERVICES... SO IS THIS LEGAL?

any info will be appreciated....

I felt sorry for Israel, and the persicution of the Jewish throughout history. Now I think they have a chip on their shoulder and now they should be told to calm it in a bid to halt the tit for tat killings.

What you all think about that?

FOX News this morning REPEATEDLY stated that an American military draft would be "good for our markets and our stocks."

In other words, it would be good for BIG BUSINESS and the MAJOR STOCKHOLDERS...but would it be good for the rest of us???

The U.S. Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act of 2006 together have empowered the presidency FAR beyond our forefather's intentions, have severly unbalanced our 3-branch government, and put the final nail in the coffin of democratic process within our government.

The president now, while the U.S. is in a state of war, has 100% control of the military branch. He is unconstitutionally using "signing statements" to nullify legislations of Congress, and has mounted a propagandist attack against the only branch left that can threaten his power: the Judiciary, by attempting to convince his constituents that our legal system promotes only the "liberals" agenda.

Still without an HONEST reason for the Iraq war, should we have a draft?
