First, I think people who need help should get it!! Unfortunately, that is not how it has worked. Instead of adding a great service to the nation, welfare has become one of the greatest disservices in the history of the world. It has given people a false sense of entitlement which in turn has lead many people to simply live off of the government. It is not these people are not able human beings who can benefit our society, it is just much easier for some people to collect welfare, have more babies, collect more welfare, Repeat....

This highly upsets me because the theory of welfare is pure and people who need help should get it. The problem is welfare helps to breed people who need help, and as time goes the liability is increasing instead of decreasing. Does anyone agree it is time for welfare reform?

We moved to our (first) house about four and a half months ago and have been victim to a burglary (they came through an open window), a couple of petty car crimes and then last week my Fiance caught them trying to hotwire the car. He fully intended to chase them off, but as there was three of them (he could just see one) he got stabbed in the arm before they ran off. I am extremely nervous about being at home and we now want to leave; is this something we legally need to disclose to the Estate Agents as it took place outside the house? I want to get out of here!!

I am afraid they might banish it! If they do, in my opinion, they are, in a way, communists.

Who was your favorite president and why?

Try to be a little unique. Saying "Bush" or "Clinton" is not demonstrating your world knowledge.

Any nation, any time. Prime Ministers are also acceptable answers. Chancellors, Kings, Emperors do not belong here. Prime Ministers and Presidents only for maximum democratic value.

Mine is Andrew Jackson, United States of America. He is so hot and dreamy. Everything he did was just so wonderful. He is the best president ever.

Who were yours?

Kisses,

Jessica

p.s. I love you!

I received an email from a classmate saying that both Brown vs. Board of Education and the affirmative action case are being challenged which seems unbelievable to me so I was wondering if anyone had more info on these upcoming cases or ideas on what we could do to stop it, if true.

Okay, this is for anyone who is NOT GOP or Democrat.

Why is it that since President Bush took office that our national debt skyrocketed.

Any fiscally sound policy states that you control costs when you don't have enough money for expenditures, and you don't borrow money that you will pay interest on, and you don't offer your boss a pay cut to help him out. So, do you consider our government's policy on fiscal responsibility a smart decision.

You know, like the glory days of Alexander and Atilla. They got dirty and went and killed and counquered. Now its about espionage and M.A.D. We have played ourselves into a standstill. Personally, I think that war itself is not bad, just the people who use it for profit of themselves. Besides, I love Ender's Game( just finished reading it again, so I'm all ready to talk shop over a game of risk)
Anyways, is it possible? Or does the fact that everyone and their mama has a nuke deters it and we'll all go down if someone makes their move?

Remember, until recently, the GOP controlled the legislative and executive branches, so this is a GOP problem.

A few weeks ago i was picked up by LP for shoplifting, i was wondering my court date is in about two weeks, i haven't really talked to any lawyers, just one, i cant afford a lawyer, on my court date, i dunno if i should plead guilty or no contest. I am what did was wrong and they caught me with the stuff, but what does pleading "no contest" mean, i heard it is not saying your are guilty or not, but it just says that you except what ever charges are being filed against you, you i plead guilty or no contest. i heard no contest has better benefits, what benefits are those.
