al qaida are terrorists.
a dirty bomb is a terrorists wet dream.
It doesnt need any extra special skills to create one......it's just a normal bomb with a radioactive payload.
It would be a major undertaking, but very possible for a group like al qaida.

I look at all the nutters out there, beliving that their god tells them to hate and kill....... then I consider all the nutters who belive that 9/11 was a US government conspiracy..............and I get afraid...........very afraid.

It doesn't seem to outrageous a thought does it? The larger the death toll the happier the terrorists would be. 9/11 and 7/7 were designed to be carried out at a time when most civilians would be affected.
A big attack like that on our home soil would have the desired effect of keeping us in the war which in turn would inspire more Muslims to take up arms.
An atomic bomb would be a win win from the terrorist pint of view.

We have a government of proven liars who have a record of controlling the population and removing civil rights. The recent statements and speech by Sir Ian Blair are a pre-amble to more oppressive legislation.
Resulting from the destruction of the twin towers, two Muslim countries have been destroyed, Israel has been given a free hand to turn the occupied territories into concentration camps and some US businessmen have made fortunes. Give serious thoughts to the likely identity of the perpetrators.

Al Qaeda does not could desire to launch an attack on US soil. All they could desire to do is bypass into the streets of any city in Iraq, and then they could kill as many individuals as they like.

They told us the Al Qaeda are bad so why bomb Iraq?

would think they would like to completely demolish the uk, probabky not a lie as such. BUT why tell everyone. secret service is the clue. why not keep it secret, not let people know what you know.There not stupid, so the reason for announcing it is purely for political gain, and most likely the lead up to the next swathes of law changes.
