I think SPP and the NAU are 'large agencies' and would welcome hearings on them.

What do you think?

My father passed away last night. He had lung cancer from some chemical at work 8 years ago. Although he didnt have medical insurance his company has a policy where in the event of death they will pay the cost of the funeral up to 12,000 dollars. My father and his sister or my aunt got together about 1 month prior to his death and signed some agreement (my father not my aunt) where 2,000 dollars was to be set aside for me. My step mother called me today to tell me that i wouldnt be recieving the money because she used it all on the funeral. She stated that she wanted a nice funeral for my father. I understand this completly i mean 10,000 for a funeral isnt that much thats what my dads work place offered a max at but my problem is wether the money for me or anybody in that fact is a wish of a dieing man shouldnt one respect that? I know this is a legal issue. I plan on waiting weeks after the funeral that way there isnt a uprising because its not the time nor place to do this.

What is the point of killing someone for killing? Is it supposed to prove a point to the public? If so, it is certainly not working. Studies have been done and have found that in states that have the death penalty, it has not made a difference in the number of murders. There is no reasonable argument for it. If we kill killers, are we going to rape rapists? It just doesn't make sense. It costs more money to kill someone by lethal injection than life in prison, it takes an average of 15-18 years from trial to execution. If anyone can think of a reasonable argument for the death penalty, I want to hear it.

How do I reassure my husband that I am not cheating???
My husband is going overseas with the military. We will be apart for about a year. Lately he has been having a lot of dreams that I am cheating on him...he says I am not giving him any reason to think that...it is just a fear he has cuz it has been done to him before (previous relationship). He says it just feels so real when he wakes from the dream that he is angry at me for hours. I love him more than words can express and would never cheat on him. He has actually been the semi-unfaithful one in our relationship in the past, but I have forgiven him. How do I reassure him that I am not cheating, have no desire to cheat and will not cheat while he is gone???

Don't you wish some on the left/right, and even some independents, understood the historical insensitivity of using labels like Fascist and Nazi to describe others and their behavior? How is it they are blind to seeing how asinine it makes them look when they use those labels to malign others? Have the words really lost that much meaning?

A mother I know was in the U.S. and overstayed
her welcome thus causing her passport to be
stamped so she cannot come back. She says
she has a daughter who is in the states and
when she becomes a citizen then she can go
back to the states for part of her daughter, is
this true. I thought that once your passport was
stamped no entry then it takes at least 10 yrs
to be able to get an entrance visa as she had
committed a felony because she overstayed
her limit without immigration approval. Does
she also have to be pardoned for her act before
she can apply for another entrance visa, and
finally just because she may have a daughter
who will be a U.S. citizen soon does not mean
that she will automatically be able to come
back to the U.S. since her passport was
stamped no entry because of the felony she
committed. Pls advise as I think she has to wait
ten yrs before being able to apply again. TKS

Though there are no crimes he has committed, there is much talk of impeachment on here. Lets just say he was taken into an impeachment trial. Do you think it would help America stay safe from terrorists and fix all our problems to try him like this? Yes or no, and explain why.

Former Palistinian dictator, Yasar Arafat, was quite rich -- thanks to money coming through the UN no doubt. That money comes partly from the US. A lot of it went to Suha Arafat, his wife, living in Paris. I want it back, now!
