I have served with US, British, German and even Canadians...and only only someone who has never served in a combat zone would ever infer what your idiotic, unsupported Q would ask.

Actually British military history is full of examples of the British military running away. For example, why don't Artillery units in the British Army and by tradition throughout the Commonwealth carry Royal colours? Why do the spats of the Black Watch have the toe cut out of them? The British Army hasn't been all that stalwart or reliable in battle for that matter. Although they are a damn sight better than the Americans. Just ask anyone who served in the PPCLI during the Korean conflict.

I think the question sucks.

Having said that, you started the war of 1812 and lost comprehensively. At the end you were back behind your borders having been thrashed. Your celebrated win was after the peace agreement, and well inside your borders. How typical of Americans to be killing Brits when we are on the same side. Just like the first and second gulf wars where we lost nobody to the Iraqis and in both cases were shot up by trigger happy A-10 drivers keen to kill anything that wasn't American. In GW1 we were also shot up by M1As, but to little effect. Remember, the White House is white because we set it on fire one night.

The military have to believe their own BS, confidence is a major force multiplier, so we get this sort of BS question.

When were YOU ever in a conflict with Americans that ran away? I doubt that you have ever even served in the military and if you have I doubt you have ever seen combat. I bet you are claiming to be a real man too, just because you can sit at a computer and try and put down American soldiers. The British military is far from perfect, they have their faults just like any military. So do us all a favor and just STFU.

Yep. You guys did a real good job of standing & fighting at Dunkirk. If I recall correctly your fellow Commonwealthers didn't do to well at Gallipoli either. That said... we got our asses kicked in the Phillipines at the beginning of WWII but we didn't run (there was no where to run to). We learned to fight & run to live & fight again during our War of Independence against your idiot King George. The British would march forward in ranks and stand there to shoot. How stupid is that? We shot back at them from behind trees and rocks & then took off to regroup and fight more later. A much better tactic if you ask me. We don't stop fighting to take tea breaks either.

Where have you been getting your information? Americans are the bravest soldiers in the world! Don't kid yourself! It is silly of you to make threats to kick someone's butt. I know a bunch of female Israeli soldiers who could swoop down and suck the bone marrow out of your spine! Read the history these people are offering you. You are having your can kicked here.

Americans saved your butt in WW2, British surrendered many times to the Japanese in the Pacific, look at singapore, hong kong, and indonesia. hitler could have bombed britain back into the stone age. America gave lots of financial support to britain during WW2 and WW1. America sent lots of food, oil, and supplies across the atlantic being hunted by German U-boats. america is the brave one, only that they didn't do so good in Vietnam and Korea.

Not all Americans run away. Real men join the arm forces to fight for our freedom.

Think about it when you drive to do some groceries or eat out at fancy restaurants, someone is fighting for you to enjoy your freedom.

I'd believe that attitude coming from the French, but from the Brits?...
Well, either way, we bailed both of you out just over 60 years ago.
And if it's the present we're talking about, there are more Americans over there than Brits.
