Copper thieves?
It is no secret that copper thieves are stealing all and I mean all the copper out of This country. Now we have to have copper for electric lights, electric motors and running water to name a few. It is clear that these thieves are not just poor people out to make a few bucks or drug addict needing moneys, it is BIG BUSNESS. The scope of this problem indicates it is very organized, either it is organized crime or people stealing to finance terrorism. The problem is our Law enforcement people are not doing anything to stop the proplem so who is holding them back and why?

I have a few unpaid parking tickets, and a long history of parking violations (I work in an urban area where I am required to move my car every 2 hours and often forget). If I pay them all before my background check, will it still count as a negative? Will the parking tickets even come up during a background check?

Where can I find information on how prisoners are treated, such as websites and such. I am doing a problem/solution essay and I have heard that prisoners are treated way better than they ever should be, and would like to write my paper on that. Thanks in advance.

Someone asked "will you wear your poppy with pride?" and it got me thinking.

The British Legion (who sell the poppies) use the money to support current and ex-servicemen and women. Since there are only a handful of WWII vets left it must mostly be going to more recent soldiers like those in Iraq.

Can you support the poppy fund but be opposed to the war, the soldiers in which it supports? If so, how do you reconcile the two ideas?

They come to my house & out of the kindness of my heart, i give them a room, a job & i get in return is hate from them, want to take over my house , trash it or even kill me, if i don't act to their liking.

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Conversely, would you, being a female, want to share a slit trench with a male?

You're in the combat arms. You're on active duty or on exercise. You end up with someone from the opposite sex. There are limited facilities. Would you be comfortable sleeping; eating; and of course, fight from the same place? Would gender roles crop up? Man trying to protect the woman? Cat and dog fights? Is having co-ed combat units working?

First and foremost, just calling a spade a spade. The only time I worked with women was in the Navy. Man it was bad. Women did all the easy work (if anything) like paperwork and men did all the tough jobs. They were getting themselves pregnant to skip out of deployment. I transfered to an all male command, and it was a thousand times better. No PC enviornment. No pregnancies to deal with. None of my subordinates had females to fight over. No chemistry between anyone to interfere with their jobs. Didn't have to take up their slack. All this money spent on women could be put to better use. It's is my opinion women don't belong and I want to hear all of yours too, provided any "yes" answer uses logic rather than basing your answer on reasons of equality or PC correctness.

President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld, secretary of defense never served in combat and yet they thought they were smart enough to tell generals and sargeants how to wage war. Rumsfeld did serve in the US navy as an aviator but never volunteered to go to Vietnam.

These people are worth millions. Check them out at www.wikipedia.com and it will scare you to realize how out of touch our leaders are with the working public.

Cheney got several draft deferments during the Vietnam era and when the draft laws were changed to take married men with no children, Cheney and his wife managed to have a child so he could get deferred again. That doesn't sound patriotic to me and yet they send thousands of others to war.

Let's hear what you think of that.
