All ladies have the one dress that works for any party. It could also be worn to an interview or even a funeral. Has this been the little black dress for Bush? He uses it for just about anything - subverting the Constitution, fighting wars based on faulted and cherry-picked intelligence, and calling anyone who disgarees with him unpatriotic.

My neighbor is an obnoxious elderly (a little deranged) man. For example, his method of getting my other neighbor's pugs to stop barking is to throw a lawn chair at them and he has stickers of a handgun on all his windows-- that's his security system. At any rate, fall is here and he gets up early every day to leaf blow all the leaves on his property onto the street and my property. Since I am on the corner, cleaning the leaves out of the street and my sidewalk becomes my problem. He generally does it between the hours of 8 and 10 am when those of us with jobs aren't home.

He already gets a minor perk from me in that I just moved there and have not gotten around to putting up a fence between mine and his property and so he has a free parking spot.

How do I deal with this guy given that he is weird and barely speaks english well. Do towns have any regulations that prevent people from blowing their leaves in the street?

Can a mass humanitarian effort be launched to help these poor souls?

Obviously conservatives have suffered a very traumatic experience this week. If you have any conservative republican friends that exhibit any of the following symptoms perhaps you may seek help for them and get them through this difficult time.

1. very tired looking with dark circles under the eyes.

2. failing to eat meals and showing signs of malnutrition.

3. bleeding from any orifice.

4. difficulty in reasoning.

5. unable to make a point of debate. Spending hour upon hour in front of their computer on yahoo answers trying to defend a lost battle.

6. constant babbling and generally spewing non-sense. ( may be associated with all above)

there may be additional signs, feel free to share your own observations.

A life could be saved.

I'm a Canadian citizen and filed for a K-1 fiance visa to move to the USA to marry my American fiance. So far all we got from Immigration was a letter stating that they've recieved the forms and fee. I know some of what all is involved, but I'm not quite sure about where I'll have to go for my interview here in Canada when I do recieve the information package. From what I heard awhile ago, there is only 2 US Consulates in Canada that handle the fiance visas. One In Montreal, QC and The other in Vancouver, BC. I live in Toronto and I do know there is a US Consulate here. Does this Consulate handle the fiance visas? I really would like to know before I recieve the information pkg, that way I can start putting money aside for transportation if I have to go to Montreal.

the corrupt politics where we don't elect people based on what they can do for us but based on what the other guy did wrong. Where our country motto has changed from "of the people, by the people and for the people" to "of the politician, by the politiciian and for the politician".
even if you stay up on the issues and write in, they misunderstand the point or don't care and vote for whatever is in their best interests.

I know how the election system works, but what happened originally to create this 1/3 system? Was this created back in history when the Senate had reached 34 members??? But even then, I'm sure that the next year, the Senate suddenly did not have 33 new seats (as in 16 new states). Thanks in advanced to the historic information. And yes, I already checked Wikipedia, but it does not provide an explanation.

IT IS THE SOLDIER
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.

It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

It's Veterans Day and I'm proud of my service to this country (1982-1985, USN, PN3), and of my husband's service (1981-1987, USN, ASM3). Just wanted to know if there are any fellow vets out there, when you served, and if you are proud of your service. And thank you to all.
